I know this place is a goldmine of meltdown material, and I'm sure y'all surf other sites and see some gems there too.
For you new folks, this is actually a pretty entertaining thing to read during the fall, and it will keep you laughing while your bosses call idiotic meeting after idiotic meeting.

Can't wait for the most epic meltdown of all...when Saban leaves Gumpland for the BBD, the bigger, better, deal. The dudes's a mercenary. Enjoy this time, because nothing lasts forever, and there will be some gumps jumping off of bridges and killing each other when it happens.

It was not a shock. Huizenga landed his helicopter on Saban's Highland Road lawn to plead with him to come to Miami. Everyone knew he wanted to try to coach in the pros some time.
I do think it WAS a 'meltdown', though to the Miami players, coaches, staff, management, ownership and players when he repeatedly denied, to the point of vitriolic indignance, his interest in the Alabama job; then let his coaches and players know over the intercom that he was quitting.
