Well.. you know, he might be guilty of buying legislators, but by golly, he said he wouldn't players, so that's that.

maybe, but you would think he would have also had the sense to not talk about buying state legislators on the phone either....

Let me ask you this, if you're in McGregor's/his lawyers shoes, why would you even broach the subject? Just leave it at no comment and move on. He's already in deep shite as it is. Why go and lie about more stuff to add on top of it?

As far as Auburn, the attorneys and the NCAA Cam is eligible,
Ummm, no they didn't. The NCAA is investigating the recruitment of your starting QB.

As part of discovery the prosecution has to give all its evidence over to the defense.
Too broad of a statement. Work product and other items are not discoverable. The whole of the transcript may not be unsealed.

Honestly, it may or may not be true, won't know for some time. However, I would think Auburn football would be the least of his worries right now. That they chose to make a statement about that and appear concerned about it, is kinda curious, considering that he is under indictment for other things right now and arraignments are tomorrow.

I still think you just don't comment on it and go on with the bigger issue of buying votes.
What's worse, buying votes or funneling 100k+? I imagine both would get you a cell with Pookie and Big Jon for a while

"Also the attorney who made this statement is a MASSIVE Bama fan and supporter, Espy. Trust me if they said it they are in the clear on this."
That's impossible. The REC and all Alabama fans are solely responsible for this entire situation. No way an evil Bammer could ever tell the truth or defend such a righteous Auburn man. How does he even find the time to defend his client when he spends all his time controlling various American instutions in order to frame Auburn?

Milton McGregor is a very shady, very scarey man. if even one percent of what you hear in montgomery about his behind the scenes machinations are true, i would not put anything past him....paying players would be about #157 on his fbi investigated to-do list.

The funny thing is no one has mentioned the hot water MSU is in over this.
Yeah. NONE of you Auburn homers beat that dead horse.
By the way, Finebaum jokes about State being in hot water quite often. Probably just to keep the Auburn homers listening to his show. He also wears his Cam Newton jersey to work every day.

Goldberg is pretty bad but the whole Birmingham News is definitely not exactly anti-Auburn in this whole thing. I just picked up today's paper and right next to Goldberg's article is a picture of Newton with the caption:
"More details about Mississippi State's plan to get Cam Newton to play for the Bulldogs came to the surface Wednesday."
Not to mention the title of Goldberg's article "MSU's pay-for-play plan details revealed."
