Why bother to say if Marshall isn't the guy at Texas, Smart is? Forde knows shite. And we'll take Miller all day.

If you think Tubby Smith is a great coach, you should look at what he did at Kentucky compared to true great coaches like Rick Pitino and Calipari

Pat Forde also said back in August that Bama would take a huge step backwards and finish 3rd or 4th in the SEC West so there's that. Although he's probably right about Marshall going to Texas.

Well he's one of the 5 coaches to win a NC at UK.
Guess that's more than can be said about any Auburn coach, BCG, and Sutton.
Also took UGA and TU to a sweet 16 along with Minnesota to a legit post season tournament

Who compared Tubby Smith to either of them? But which part are you going to overlook the national title or all of the elite eight appearances. Maybe the sweet sixteen runs at Tulsa? No one is going to call him a hall of fame coach, but don't downplay him to make a point.

Of course it wasn't. But basketball is a different beast in getting a team through the tournament.

So Coach Greg Marshall goes on national radio, while his team is still in the tourney,and says he's interested in talking with us 3 days ago. Today, after team is out of the tourney, he says don't bother.....seems legit

He never said he was interested. He said he would listen if they made a crazy offer.

I'm not saying this isn't true.. But if it is Gregg Marshall is a horrible negotiator. You don't tell Alabama anything and let that get out. Now Texas knows they don't have to compete with Alabama on an offer and they can offer less.

Yeah tubby smith also went to fewer final fours in 10 years at Kentucky than Pitino and Calipari went to in 4 or 5 years. In fact the only final four he ever went to was during his first year after inheriting an absolutely loaded team from Pitino
