Georgia couldn’t field a team if this were the case

I can't speak for other teams, but many come to Georgia to get coached up for the next level. Kirby tries to avoid those who are only looking for more money.

One thing from the OP that stands out
The Aggies two primary rivals are making big moves, while a peripheral rival in TTU is also doing the same.
They (A&M) look to be getting more value according to that ON3 link though

What if the 5* OL you lost were actually awful?
When those 5* are getting good NIL deals at other SEC schools it says your OL coaching is actually awful.

Its all bs. You wont be able to tell who won the portal until the end of the season. Indiana won the portal this past year.

They are not reliable rankings. And they are not definitive indicators of success.
Indiana has proven that coaching matters a lot more than just talent rankings.

The more reliable one is whatever fits the narrative you’re trying to push

Not counting what you lost seems pretty stupid. If you added 3 5* players you'd be #1, even if you lost 5 5* players.
True but recruiting rankings have never taken into account the Seniors and other players who are leaving. Plus, there is no accurate way to rank all the transfer players in the portal. Most revert back to their HS rank which is inaccurate.

So by your posted graphic, LSU is +1 in bringing in (5 star) players. LSU is +1 in bringing in (4 star) players and LSU brought in 22 (3 star) players with game experience while letting go of 26 3 star players who were backups with little to no game experience. Got it. Thanks for clearing that up.

LSU also caught a break by not having to play Georgia for three years in a row.

Let’s imagine team A has the reigning heisman trophy winner at qb and team B has the lowest rated 3* QB in the country. If they swap QB’s in the transfer portal, both teams got better according to 247

That’s just one situation though. Let’s also imagine a Ty Simpson case. If he decided to go to Miami or wherever and enter the transfer portal. He drastically hurts Bama. If he decides to go the NFL draft instead. No affect on ON3 when the same thing to Bama’s team happened. It’s imperfect all the way around.
