This thread was directed at the lower class posters on either side of tRivalry bud. As such, ignore it.

If scoring ten points isn't "stopping the run" I don't know what is.

So to answer the question..no?

Magnolia Bowl

Somewhat off topic but I have grown to hate the name of this rivalry. Ole Miss-LSU is just fine IMO.

It's the state flower of both states, HJJ. It makes a lot of sense, unfortunately.

Oh I know but I just think Ole Miss-LSU is sufficient. Everyone knows both teams hate each other and that we're the closest thing LSU has to a real rival.

I'm glad we are good again and the rivalry is picking up some long overdue vitriol.

I know we make fun of LSU rushing the field last year but I think that's a sign that the rivalry is getting back to where it was in the 50's and 60's. LSU will be a national power for a long time to come and with the way Freeze is recruiting, I think we're getting to a level that the rivalry can get back to greatness.

The last 3 games have been nail biters.

Last year probably took a few years off my life.

FWIW I was so embarrassed when we rushed the field last year, but at the same time, it felt great to beat someone we weren't supposed to...

Correct. Ole Miss lost. LSU didn't win.

It's the first time in a LOOOOOONG time that LSU was not supposed to beat us in football. As much as it sucked to lose that game, it did great things for the rivalry.

The last three years have been classics. Odell-Beckham's punt return for a td in 2012, Ritter's last second field goal in 2013. Then y'all running it down our throats 80+ yards for a game winning touchdown last year. And even then, we had a chance to win. I would obviously love to kill you guys next year but the Ole Miss-LSU game is always fun to watch when it's a nail biter because it could go either way. It's no longer "Oh LSU is going to pull this one out of their arse and win again". The 2009 and 2013 games showed Ole Miss is able to do it now as well
