TEN TEX is right. With Mccoy Texas would have won the game.

Pretty much the same type of thing I see posted on this board by every fanbase in the conference, yet Alabama is the one you "hate". There is probably something psychologically significant at play here...

No not really.

Oh dear God. Does it really even matter what MIGHT HAVE HAPPENED if McCoy had stayed in? No. It doesn't. The only thing that matters was that McCoy ended up being knocked out of the game and Alabama won. He didn't miss the game because he was sick or got hurt in practice. He was KNOCKED OUT OF THE GAME. I hate it for the kid, but injuries during the game are a part of football. It doesn't matter what you or anyone thinks might have happened...it DIDN'T happen. Alabama won. Alabama beat Texas and won the game. That is ALL that matters. Nothing else matters. Alabama won.

I love how everyone is in the know with what would have happened if McCoy had played. Can some of you guys give me the lottery numbers for next week by any chance?

Because I have been up all damn night working on a paper that is due for my lit class in about 4 hours and I am stressed out, haven't slept, and generally pissed off about other things right now. That a good enough reason?

People that have never won a national championship or even played for one, really shouldn't comment about things that they know nothing about. Everybody won during this game. Bama won the championship, and because McCoy got hurt, it helped Texas save face and have something to use as an excuse. No one can say predict that Texas would have won the game after only watching the first 5 minutes of the game with McCoy in there. If people can predict the game, wasn't that what the bookies were doing before the game, and they predicted Bama to win, and that would have been with "precious' playing. Get over it, Bama won and we have the crystal football. If Texas wants to continue to whine and think about "what if", then that's up to them, but it really doesn't have anything to do with other schools. What do you know about it?

No. Mac Brown wants the world to know that if McCoy had played, Texas wins. He is wrong... After Alabama lost to Florida in 2008, Saban didn't bitch about it to the media 2 months later. He prepared the team to whoop their arse in 2009...

So Mack is bitching about losing to Alabama? Also, where does he specifically say, if Texas had McCoy they win? I didn't gather any of that from the article. Your definition of bitching and my definition of bitching are polar opposite.

Only the fans that cannot face reality.

You should probabably shut up too then. You have never won a championship either. You just watch it on tv or at the stadium like everybody else.

And like I said before in this thread, it is mostly bammers and their massive insecurity and inferiority complex that is compelling them to state with absolute certainty that bama would have won anyway, bama was definitely the better team, ect. Most say what if, because most are vastly smarter than gumps with much less inferiority problems that compel them to say stupid shite like gumps do.

Im feeling some insecurity from the Bammers.. I think that Bama would have won regardless. Saban obviously went to a more conservative system once he got the comfortable lead. He did, however, let Texas get a little close for comfort at the end. But dont worry Bama, at least you didnt blow your opponent out, only to find that you had to "share" your title with USC..

Never said that. It is just gump insecurity that makes them say with certainty like it is a fact that bama would have won anyway and bama was the better team.

I love how fans act like they're going to get a prize in the mail when Bama wins. Sorry.

You can go to your local Wal-Marks and get your picture taken with the trophy.

I think the person that said that was a Tennessee fan. This was in response to Harmonics.

I didn't think Texas had a shot in that game.

But after watching it, I have little doubt that Texas would have won had McCoy not gotten hurt. So, I'm sure Brown felt like one got away.
