I could cite you to the governing authority on each of those points, but you would just refuse to read it. If you DID read it, you would not understand it.

Why?

I hate to repeat myself, but you are an imbecile.

I was pulled over on I-10 for going 6 mph over speed limit and held there for about 3 hours while 2 cops literally tore my rental car apart looking for drugs.

If i were a minority (i am not) i would have sworn it was racial profiling.

I learned 2 things. Dont say shite and dont agree to shite.

Sometimes DPS runs an operation where they put 5-6 cars in a small stretch of highway, ticket the smallest infractions and then "request" that each driver "consent" to a search, using all the extra cars.

I got pulled over for not signalling a damned lane change going to the left lane, to get further from where they had pulled someone over on the right lane. I kid you not. And then they asked to search my truck. "No, sir, you may not."

They demanded to know why I did not agree, and I simply said "The 4th Amendment." They did not like it, but I was driving away 30 seconds later. I told the story to the JP on my court date, and he dismissed the ticket.

What are you talking about?

Police can lie at a traffic stop. They can lie about search and entry. They can lie when they question you.

There's no penalty for any of it.

Yeah, they get around this so easily though.

It is kinda fricked up that police can lie all they want.

Not true...they want to lie a lot more than they actually do.

You apparently don’t even remember that. It says you don’t have to say anything. It doesn’t say you can lie.

Correct. Do not trust police. They want arrests, not justice.

It's a fact. They can lie/bluff their asses off to you in an interrogation to get a confession. And the courts give them every right to do it. This isn't news.

This is ABSOLUTELY the truth.

It's not illegal at all for a cop to lie to a citizen. Supreme Court has seen to it. LINK

Meanwhile you're held to a different standard LINK. So he's actually not wrong at all.

Nothing worse than a sheep that's convinced itself the wolf is a friend.

I've gotten out of a couple of speeding tickets by showing respect for their authority and using good old Southern manners, rather than acting a jackass.

And it's also why your Miranda Rights remind you that you have the ability to keep your mouth shut.

True, but if they are only questioning you they do not read you your Miranda Rights. That only comes if they arrest you.
If they are questioning you (In anticipation of a possible arrest, or simply to gather information in an investigation) they do not read you the Miranda Rights.

Yeah, he could have invoked his 5th amendment rights but chose not to and lied instead. I'd be more concerned about him ignoring his Miranda Rights, you know the part about anything he says being used against him in Court. Looks like he found out the hard way what happens when you ignore those warnings
