That 59-0 game against Aranda's D at Wisconsin came at the hands of Ohio State's 3rd string QB. OH YEAH!

This is how you properly respond to that.

You're continuing to argue the fact that individual games tell the story about Aranda when they are included in the overall data out on him that shows he's an elite coordinator.
Would you say Will Muschamp is a competent defensive mind? Nick Saban? I can find numerous examples of their units giving up major points.

Show me a game Murray started over Mettenberger. I'll be here all day.

You said no one could argue about his competency and you're wrong, many people could argue about it. You then change to, "I don't question it", well ok, good on you. Wisconsin shits out top 40 defenses every year just because of the way their Offense dominates ToP. It is not hard for someone to be successful there as a coordinator, they had a first year ever guy there this past year and he beat Aranda's numbers.
Aranda is a good coordinator but he's not god tier like you guys pretend.

Damn, the story sure has changed.
Folks, Mett didn't leave, he was kicked off in 2010 because he got in legal trouble. He and Murray both sat on the bench behind Joe Cox in 2009. Murray and Mett battled out the spring in 2010.

A&M has beaten LSU more recently than South Carolina

Burro didn't have the chest for Ohio state

Sweet deflect and over-sized outdated meme. Quality.

"Top 40" defenses, and you think I'm moving the goal posts? Aranda is and has been well above that. He was also successful at Utah State before his Wisconsin stint. You would argue about the competency of someone who fields top 10 defenses consistently? There is no such thing as god tier, unless you think claiming someone to be a great defensive coordinator is promoting him to god tier. LSU fans think they have a great defensive coordinator, for good reason.

Yet he went there and competed for 3 years.
You need to stop melting and accept that LSU has an elite QB.

We better hope Burrow is accurate and the crop of new WRs have good hands, because we don't have a proven run game any longer, and I don't think our depth is that great. If we start seeing a lot of 3 and outs, we might be in some deep shite this year.
The reason the passing game has taken over the NFL is because a good QB starts to come into his own about the same time a good RB is ready to retire. That means if you build around a QB in the NFL, you get a stable offense for a decade or more.
In college, it's not the case, and the QB is a lot more raw in comparison to the RB.

You established the goal posts when you said "no one", not me. My point with the top 40 thing is that it is incredibly hard to not put together at least a good defense at Wisconsin, average-to-bad coaches have been doing it for two decades.
I would definitely argue about his competency, his mentor is a fricking clown and his defenses ensured Wisconsin lost every big game of his tenure. If you want a guy to pad numbers against bad teams Aranda is your guy, if you want someone clutch go elsewhere.

Elite means he has wins and experience. He has neither. Too early to tell if he will be elite.
Elite QBs don't transfer due to lack of playing time

You can argue anything I suppose, but no one with any reasonable success could argue his competency, unless competency has a completely different meaning than in the ordinary course of conversation.
Your second point I will level with you on and say, sure, the jury is out. I don't think he has been put in a position where the situation or his caliber of team can give us a fair assessment of his "clutchness."
