LSU has 3 NC since 2000 and played for a 4th. We'll be just fine.

2011: 13-1
2003: 13-1
Only two teams have ever gone 15-0
2003: 13-1

90% of the teams in the SEC would give thier left nut to be a one hit wonder and have the National Championship Trophy in their football Ops building.

Thank you for confirming my point.
15-0 where practically nobody even gave you a close game is heads and shoulders better.
Your 2019 team will be in the discussion of greatest teams/seasons of ALL TIME. None of the previous LSU teams will be in such a conversation.
Hence at this point last year was a "blip."

You are an idiot. The 2003 team would destroy any SEC team today.

I think it's a lot of factors honestly.
1-we lost almost the entire starting group. That's hard to overcome for anyone without a dropoff of some sort
2-Pelini seems to have no idea how to matchup with modern offenses. I wasn't keen on the hire but never expected this as even a worst case scenario.
3-mentally not prepared or really engaged at all. It's called the championship hangover. While you'd think the new players would want their own legacy it appears not, at least this year. Schools that completely reload and turn off noise of the past like Clemson and Bama are not that common. That's a tribute to their leadership on the coaching level
4-talent or more to say experienced or enough of. Remember the excuses USC had about their penalties from the Bush case about the lack of depth and numbers
? Our roster is at 70 recruited scholarship players which is about what USC was working with. Of the 70, most are very young with little experience and some are busts, which happens everywhere, without numbers to make up for it. And defensively in particular, the personnel wasn't recruited for the scheme they're playing
5-coaching. It's not good. Effort and scheme are coaching issues
6-the issues in the country. It's a factor for every school whether admitted or not. Some of these kids are actually intelligent and think about social, medical and political issues. This year has been ripe with concerns on all fronts. It only makes sense some of these kids aren't in that football mentality.
7-natural progression of college football. Oklahoma is average. The entire SEC, sans UGA, can't stop anyone. All 3 major conferences are down this year and it's hard to fathom with all that's going on that it's a coincidence. Even Clemson hasn't looked that great. Upsets galore. 2007 was a year like this. The7poo up every now and again where just when you think you've got it figured out, something big happens and changes the narrative again. Outside of maybe Clemson(of teams playing currently) I don't see any team going through the regular season without losing.
All in all, it's just one of those "frick it" years where everything seems to be going bad at the same time. As long as it's just this one year I can deal with it.

Interesting how Alabama people come into this thread and try to make it about them.
I didn't make shite about Bama. I pointed out how much of a lucky fluke Miles' title was and then the typical LLsu fans flip out and rant about our titles. Idiot.

No one has had a season like LSU did last year. 15-0 beating seven top 10 teams
Posted on 10/12/20 at 3:22 pm to EarlyCuyler3
And it wasn’t luck in 2011for Bama to back in to the championship game? GTFO with this. Bama has been good but they’ve also been very lucky.

Did they pass out little cards with that line on it for you guys to recite every time someone laughs at your current ineptitude?

Good God,you guys were chirping throughout out the off season about how much you wouldn't miss Aranda or Brady.
You guys absolutely refused to believe that last year was the perfect storm for ya and the vast majority of LSU tards all believed you were gonna contend for the west this year...so just STOP with the excuses

Actually both the team last year and the amount of talent and coaches lost are both an aberration.
Calling a program that’s won 3 national titles in the last 20 years a one hit wonder is pretty silly. I mean, I’d rather get there and win it than go every year and get blown out. Or be like 11 of the other 14 SEC teams and not make the playoffs at all.

Ha. I meant I’d rather win it our one year than go every year like Oklahoma and get hammered.

Nothing says “1 year wonder“ quite like Averaging 10 wins a season over two decades, 3 national championships, 1 runner-up, 5 SEC championships.
