You need to go back and research the shenanigans that happened when Brown didn’t SIGN, because he was only committed. He only SIGNED because of Lane sitting down with his camp. They went through a coaching change, so me personally (as and LSU fan) I didn’t expect much. I think Lane did a good job, based on the circumstances.

Does any of this really matter? These rankings really doesn't matter, they are just for media and fan talking points. Maybe the class is great maybe it sucks it is just speculation right now. This time next year is when you can fairly judge it.

Forget the portal for a second, LSU's HS class was really, really strong. We just didn't have as many kids, but the average player rating is 1st or 2nd in the country depending on the service you look at.
