The SEC's original plan was to divide the conference into an upper group and lower group based on teams' performances in the last 20 years. Then an upper team would play 2 upper teams and 1 lower team, and opposite for lower teams. This put Alabama having LSU and Auburn in the upper tier, and Tennessee in the lower tier. But they argued it's unfair, and it was changed

I don't think it's that crazy. Last year florida D line wrecked our O line, and we know this years is way worse. The whole gameplan was get it out quick. If we can't get deep shots next week it's time to hit the panic button

But it's not meaningless. Because the CFP poll is massively influenced by the AP poll. They've found that voters vote differently when there's no AP Poll than with one.

Nah. LSU is better when Tulane is worse. LSU doesn't need another Louisiana school with SEC credentials stealing recruits.
