Get to the #2 spot, then. You do, you deserve it more than the others. Until then, why the F aren't you arguing for OSU or Stanford or OU or Oregon as teams just as deserving? Because you're a troll.

Bama is not the #2 team until Stanford and OSU lose. If Bama is better than LSU, and you lost to LSU at home, then until one of those teams lose, your excuses, and your argument, don't hold a drop of water outside the state of Alabama. If and when those teams both lose, THEN make an argument. But you damn Gumps, your jumping all over this already, it just exposes you, just like LSU did your team.

It doesn't matter, they aren't going to play in the national title game.

Funny how bama fans are getting their hopes up though

Bama players and fans are A okay with Bama not winning their own division, and not having to even play for the SEC championship. However, despite this glaring factuality, hand them a ticket to the National championship, and Hell yeah!

Because they're Alabama, see? frick logic. frick fairness. They're Bama. I.e., entitlement pussies.

[quote]You act like I just argued that Alabama beat themselves or something. LSU beat Alabama at home, sorry I worded my sentence the wrong way[/quote

You might check around a bit. There is plenty of evidence that the general sentiment of denial about your team having been beaten by LSU Saturday, Novemebr 5th, 2011.

Wtf? Who thinks Alabama should be in the title game right now? Alabama fans are hoping Stanford and Oklahoma State lose so that Alabama has a shot to get back to #2. Who the hell is saying they should just be in it right now?

Then don't pay attention to people who think that. That doesn't matter, becuase LSU WON THE GAME. We are talking about Alabama getting back to the #2 spot right now. I only said what you quoted because an LSU fan came at me like I said something wrong, when I didn't

You might want to look again. This is the SEC Rant. It has it's own URL, it's own Home Page, even it's own scoreboard forum, all separate, but alongside the LSU part. It's the best SEC forum on the Internet and therefore draws fans from every SEC team. If you want an all LSU board, then take your corndog arse back to the Tiger Rant.

Yup. Not even gonna address that idiocy. He's here with bells on for the whole ever-lovin reason of arguing for a rematch, then claims to be basically surfing the net.lol

Hey Gumps, just get used to this:

You will not be playing in the National Championship game. Not against LSU, and not against anyone else. It's not a matter of odds, or scenarios, or computers or your fantasies. It's a matter of the rest of the entire planet's hatred of your arrogance and sense of entitlement. You screwed the pooch with your Paul Finebaum shows, with your statues of your coaches, and the pooch, well, it is you. See you in New Orleans -- as we check into your hotel rooms for the National Championship game, on the heels of your big Boise State tilt.

The sooner you accept this fact, the sooner happiness will re-enter your life. Let it go, Gumps. You lost. Let it go...

I believe that a team has zero right to play for the national championship if they can't win their conference. Said this when OU played LSU and still believe it.

My only hang up is if by the end of the year it is determined that LSU is #1 and Bama #2, then technically a champ game is unnecessary, since the final question was already answered on the field. That's only theoretical as I am not suggesting the game be cancelled, but it seems as though in the current system, the game is moot.

have to agree with this. That is also why if oregon beats stanford and goes on to win the PAC-12 they deserve the rematch over Bama

I just made the friggin' argument. Jesus. What is it with you people? You lost at home without scoring a touchdown with two weeks to prepare. You are NOT the 2nd best team. Hate to break it to ya.

LSU did not score a touchdown either, so what is your point? We want to play for a NC, big fricking deal. Is that surprising? Your dumbass would be arguing the same thing had we had won on Saturday.

I was totally against a rematch in the national championship game until I read your dumb fricking post. Now I hope we get there and I hope we beat your corndog asses all over the Superdome and then shove that crystal ball right up your corndog arse.

Now you go deal with that.

No one is even saying the we deserve it, we are just saying that the possibility is still there, and we would like for it to happen. What is so wrong with that? Go back to the pussy rant, fool.

My line of thinking applies to Oregon too. If they are second best, and have already lost to first, then the game is unnecessary, technically. I actually think it applies more to Oregon, since there was no question LSU is the better team. Bama has some legit beef with that claim.
