LSU doesn't have the talent or the coaching staff to finish much higher than 5th.

Only division loss to bama.
5th in the west is laughable

The west is hard to predict for me. LSU (if their QB plays well) has the makings for a really good offense. From what LSU fans have been saying on here, though, depth could be the biggest problem. I am not as familiar with what the defense has.

We didn’t lose much on defense from last year and if you played lsu from the bama game or after last year, then you know they had some dudes on defense.

Just to show you how bad the coaching was.

Last year we weren’t great on d at the beginning of they year. After we played ole miss , lane k called coach o and told him that he never blitzes and that he should.
So from then on , we blitzed more than anyone in the country and held bama to their lowest rushing total in school history . Then shut down everyone after pretty much. Not counting the bowl game where nobody played.

We lost damone Clark though

I could see LSU bouncing back in a big way. The only ? would be depth, I guess?

Kelly is a solid coach. (I'm not sure he is as good as some LSU fans think, but time will sort that out)

Wouldn’t shock me. There are a couple tough outs in the west, and LSU will be one of them.

A couple breaks go their way against 8&4feit I can see them winning that game. Being tough both physically and mentally is an advantage.

Well jumbos teams are not very tough in that aspect of the game. I could see 8 and 4 feit losing 4-5 again pretty easily

definitely won’t be a&m like all these “experts” are predicting i can tell you that much

it's laughable that theyre picked to finish 2nd with a transfer, a weakling and a freshman at the most important position...

I could see LSU going 10-2/11-1.
I could also see them going 7-5.

I’ll be the first to admit I wear my P&G glasses and will reason we can win it all in July, but realistically we have no idea how this team will be on 1 year under a new coach.

I think the makings of an up and coming program are in place. We will be better and will be a playoff team soon, but if I have a gun to my head, we aren’t ready for any of that this year. But improvement is a must. We have to beat the teams we’re favored against and give strong performances in our losses.
