Will there be a "battle of the bands" with Grambling?

My money is on Grambling

If 3rd string band was a thing, theirs would be better than the Golden Band.

Probably, though FSU might be decent by then. Who knows?

It's not really about how challenging the game will be though. Those atmospheres are going to be lit. FSU goes without saying but those are neutral site games.

Southern, Grambling, Army, and even UAB having a FB team again. I can't wait for those pregames/games!

So you think one of them will upset LSU?

This will end poorly for you with the rest of our schedule for those years.

LSU fans whole argument schedule worked out 1 year recently. Dolts.

While that would have been awesome to see, Grambling's stadium only has a capacity of 19,600.

The city/school isn't very far from Shreveport (Independence Bowl) which can be expanded to 63,000 if needed and be a "home" game for Grambling.

LSU really has a problem going to Tallahassee for some reason. Not that I blame them.

FSU has been to Tiger Stadium 7 times compared to LSU who has been to Doak Campbell Stadium 1 time.

1991 Doak Campbell Capacity - 60,000

1957 Tiger Stadium capacity - 67,000+

1991 Tiger Stadium Capacity - 80,150

Not that hard to figure out why. FSU made more revenue playing in Tiger Stadium.

Are you trying to say that FSU preferred to play in Baton Rouge? I am gonna give you a chance to change your statement before I laugh at you.

That is exactly what I am trying to say.

At the end of the day FSU made a significantly greater amount of revenue based on ticket sales alone. A lot of universities profited playing in BR as opposed to their home stadiums.

It's the same reason both MS schools played at LSU for 40 years+ instead of their own stadiums or a neutral site.

MSU played LSU 30 years in a row in BR. All because of money.

LSU had one of the largest stadiums in the country since construction because LSU and Tulane got into a building war in the 30's that continued into the 60's.

Army had an absolutely miserable year last season... but before that most SEC teams would have had their sphincter clinch seeing them coming up. Even if you win, which you have to or the season is over, it probably won't be a good looking win.

Plus you know that you are THE game on their schedule other than Air Force and Navy. You will get the Black Knights best shot and it will probably be a good one.

Its three years down the road but I suspect LSU will beat Army fairly convincingly. Still that isn't a team you schedule for shits and giggles.

LSU has done an excellent job in recent history paying both the FBS and FCS programs within the state of Louisiana. They should be commended for that.

I wish both Alabama and Auburn would do the same....

Yeah, if you're gonna throw money at a small program every year, make it an instate program.

There are a half dozen smaller programs in Louisiana that LSU could rotate through.

Link please. It makes no sense that FSU would play in Tallahassee in 1990 if this were true.

IDK how to link other than stating the massive difference in seating copacity. In the 50's LSU had more seats than FSU in 1990. Maybe it was a a contractual agreement for the 89 game in BR and the 90 game in Tallahassee since they were in the process of expanding Doak Campbell.

If I remember correctly, LSU was in the process of downsizing capacity to expand the locker-rooms.

FTR wasn't the 1990 FSU matchup the one that ended in a bench clearing brawl?
