I'm laughing at all of the contortions you're going through in trying to prove that OSU was more deserving of facing LSU in NOLA than Bama.
There is going to be a difference of opinion. I have never supported the rematch situation of conference opponents where they will just split the series and other worthy teams are there to step up.
Also we will never know if OSU could have been a title worthy team now. We just assumed they couldn't beat the best team in the SEC. That is a shitty thing to do and a really bad precedent.

teams and indiviguals have one thing in common they have on and off days, bama was on LSU was off, this doesnt happen under Miles but it did in tha games,It would have a great day if LSU woulda blocked some one,the offensive line lost that game, line backers werent much help neither,But that was yester year and the coming year is what I am looking at, and Sabin drops lot more games ,he shoulda of won tham Coach Miles !

marginal recruitng? what in the world are you talking about? last year? how would you know that? let me guess star system? miles has recruited very well his entire time at lsu and he has a very solid record vs bama and no one has won more than lsu during his tenure. 3-3 vs the best coach in the country doesnt come from marginal recruiting. the difference between finishing in the top 5 vs top 20 is not that much. dumb statement..

In fact, after watching the replay yesterday, Jefferson had Landry wide the frick open for a TD down 15-0 and missed him by 8 yards.
Cause Sunseri knocked the shite out of him as he (tried) to throw..

LSU or for that matter, any SEC team can lose games...people seem to forget that the best team doesnt always win...prime example is the 2008 BCS title winner UF that throttle a high powered Okla offense with Bradford & co scoring 50-60 points almost every game...but held to 14 against UF. In 2008 UF also battled a very good # 1 ranked undefeated Bama team in the SECCG and pulled away at the end....but guess what? Ole Miss beat us in the Swamp that year...Ole Miss had a decent team, but who would ever imagine them nearly as good as UF in 2008?
Teams lose to other teams sometimes due to the other team wanting it more than them....its called an upset and if there were no upsets, then Vegas wouldnt exist.

So the 2007, 2010, and 2011 games just...magically disappeared from history because of ONE game ??? We managed to win two SEC Championships and a National Championship in two of those years. What did the Taaaaahd win in 2007 and 2010 ????? Nothing. LSU is 9-4 since 2000 also, including 5-1 in Tuscaloosa. Shama has beaten LSU once in the state of Alabama since last century. And you needed the help of the Bama alum sitting in the replay booth to win that one....
This post is full of win

Post was pathetic. Arbitrary time frames are always lame. The facts remain last time Bama and LSU faced it was not remotely competitive and Bama has raised the Crystal Ball twice since that LSU team was 6-2 in the SEC(lost to Kentucky and an Arky team that USC beat by 50)last won it all.
The LSU program is a great program, but not in the same Class with Bama.

Bru you are stupid. LSU and Bama are on the same level. LSU has back to back Bednarik and Thorpe winners. Also won the division and conference Bama plays in last year. In 2010 Saban had the entire 2011 defense and a first rd wr, a heisman winning rb and a senior qb and lost 3 games. Your program isn't on some other level. Get real. Also all you Bama fans saying you kicked away the nov 5th game are idiots. The length of kicks your kicker was trying are made 45-50% of the time by the best kickers on earth. Also LSU outrushed you on Nov.5 an we all know what that usually means in the SEC.

Color me unimpresssed. Since 2008 (since we're using whatever time frame fits our agenda in this thread) Bama has 2 outland trophy winners, a heisman winner, a butkus winner, a doak walker winner, and 2 crystal footballs. In that time frame LSU has 2 bednarik and 2 thorpe winners. Congratufrickinglations but which of the 2 resume's would you rather have as a program in that frame?

If Jefferson throws the fricking ball when he's supposed to Landry walks into the endzone. Hell, on the 2nd snap of the game Jefferson fumbled the snap then proceeded to yell at Lonergan. Mr. Jefferson was more of a problem to the team than even LSU fans know I'm afraid.
As far as LSU not being on the same level as Bama, well, I know we're all homers but holy shite. Y'all are letting 1/9 cloud your rational thought process. LSU & Bama have had some pretty good games over the last decade and both have become a pipeline to the NFL. Both have facilities that some NFL teams can only dream of. Both have head coaches that are sort of mystical enigmas. And both are currently recruiting on a level above everyone else in the country not named USC. The LSU/Bama game will be for the west for the foreseeable future and you goofball Gumps better get used to it. We're not going anywhere no matter how much you try to convince yourself that 1/9 kick-started the downfall of the program.

Had LSU lost the first game they wouldn't have gotten the rematch. It was Saban and the program bias that fricked OSU in not getting to go to the NC.
So what happened with the season you have a season split between LSU and Bama; however, LSU has a better record and won the conference. It is the most bull shite thing that has happened in the BCS.
lol

It means that no conference should have two participants in the NC since they already played a season long tournament to determine the best team in the conference. Basically voters and the media dismissed the rest of the country because of the eye test which is ridiculous. How unfair would it have been had Ohio St and Michigan matched up for the National Title instead of Florida getting a shot in 2006? Oh wait that has nothing to do with Bama so you couldn't care less.
People mad about Alabama getting into the title game love to bring this up but they fail to realize it's not an apples to apples comparison. 2006 Michigan was much more similar to 2008 Alabama and 2009 Florida, not 2011 Alabama. In those two year, both Alabama and Florida went into their very last game (SEC title game) ranked #1 and lost. Both teams were eliminated from the BCS title game as a result so trying to say that Alabama gets special favors won't fly.
2011 Alabama was just lucky because every team ranked ahead of and just behind them lost after Nov 5th. If LSU had lost in OT on Nov 5th they would have gotten a rematch with Alabama on 1/9/12. Neither team gets that opportunity if either Oklahoma State, Stanford, or Boise State don't blow it at the end of the season.

As much as I would like to think so I really can't say with confidence that LSU would have.
