He should be cut over the fact he's a running back in the SEC yet was caught by a Wal Mart employee.

Makes you think he probably didn't even attempt to run.

He didn’t attempt to run because it was an accident. He didn’t scan an item in self checkout among multiple items that he bought. It’s a misdemeanor which means the value of the item wasn’t much.

Guess its a little better than beating a fellow student unconscious and using money stolen from him to go to a vending machine

His story is that he didnt scan one item on self checkout machine,on accident. Hes never been in trouble before.

Would you give him the benefit of the doubt?

How did they catch him? I've done that a few times on accident, so I understand. I've never done it on purpose, and usually don't even realize it until I'm at the car. At that point, I'm not going back in and waiting all that time just to pay for it.

I'm amazed at how many people stop for those checkers on the way out. I personally love it when they ask me, just so I can tell them no. It's my stuff now, if you wanted to look through it, you should have done so before I paid for it when it was still your stuff.

If I go through self checkout, it's because they had long lines at the other checkouts. I don't enjoy having to ring my own shite up.

They have no legal right to go through your bags on the way out. Unless it's Costco or Sam's Club, but that's because you are a member and agree to it.

Coming from a sidewalk fan of a program that generally has more arrest, known and unknown, than anyone.

I almost did that myself last week. If he had put a $500 watch in his pocket it would be totally different.

is that better or worse than letting your players rape everybody on campus then covering it up?

Not sure.

The scenario I brought up actually happened.

The one you brought up was of your own imagination.

It was a misdemeanor because of the dollar amount (less than $1,500). Typically to be arrested it would have to be over $100 which is a misdemeanor unless the subject has two prior thefts, which in that case any third theft would be a felony.

This is Texas though.

Louisiana is 500$ or less is a misdemeanor .if no priors.
If he had priors or they were positive he did it on purpose he would have been taken to jail instead of given a summons.

That's directly from someone I know in law enforcement

I’m surprised he was able to shoplift without dropping the items. He can’t catch. It’s just an unplanned donation
