ESPN had one of those feel good stories in 2019 about how 0 stood by his wife and helped her during a life-threatening illness, maybe cancer? The next thing you know he’s running around with multiple women.

Any insight on the break-up and who instigated it?

Rumor was the wife was addicted to pain killers when she had her back surgery and she couldn’t stop taking them. Coach O gave her a ultimatum and she kept doing it. Another rumor was she slept with one of the assistant coaches who is no longer there and coach O has been on the prowl since then.

News hit very rapidly after O received the new contract with bigger money. The divorce was expensive but apparently strongly desired

I have no idea what the truth was about their relationship and her health. Since then he gives every appearance of eating more single mothers than crayfish

Thanks for the responses. They seemed very close a couple of years ago.

He has a son on his staff, right? I guess he stayed out of the drama and didn’t take sides.

If I could summarize tRant:

2019: "It's okay, you're just jealous. Who cares if he chases skirts and cheats on his wife? He's awesome and we love him."

2021: "Never thought it was okay. Should fire him immediately. Can't believe a man would ever cheat on his wife."

More like:

2019: "Look at how he's turned his life around and is sticking by his wife in her moment of need."
2020 Preseason: "Man, she fricked up and let him get away."
2020 & 2021: "Damn, he's letting pussy keep him from doing his job."

You're going to have to link some threads with people talking about him chasing skirt in 2019, because I don't remember this ever being discussed. All he ever talked about was how his favorite thing to do after games was going home and sitting on the sofa with his wife and eating a ham sandwich.

She was right be his side constantly.

Appears like a reasonable response.

I’m glad press isn’t following me

As long as a state institution is paying him to do a job which requires a vast amount of focus, that’s not exactly true.

The state university is not paying him millions private boosters are paying him
It’s against the law for any state employee to draw a larger state salary than the governor

Mid life crisis. A dude given generational money, no wife, on a college campus after winning a national championship. He peaked, cashed in, and said what are they going to do about it.

You'll know he's in trouble when he buys a Harley and starts giving the wives of Dean's to parties.
