LSU at home at night is electric. That’s why. Their drunk coonass fans always show up and get loud.

They call it Death Valley because if it’s a day game the stadium is dead. Lol

All I see is that CBS should have had LSU on more 3:30 games, but they could stop sucking up to Bama and UGA.

Honestly, I kind of like the mid-fall day start to night-time end.

Back when I was a drinker I loved it. Had plenty of time to eat and get smashed before the game. Then when the game ended at 7-7:30 you hit the bars on The Strip. They would be rocking until last call.

A few things define college football.

Saturday Night in Death Valley is one of them.

Thanks to TexAgs for quantifying it.

Doesn’t change the fact that LSU pulls viewers.

Y’all do realize that this includes Non-Conference games, right? All LSU Non-Conference home games are night games. All of them. Can you say that about your team? The SEC office has nothing to do with non conference games.
The SEC and its tv partners set the times for all SEC home games, including noncocnference games. You either haven’t been paying attention, or are completely delusional if you think, for example, A&M chose to play Utah State at 11:45 a.m. on September 6.

The SEC caving in to whining from LSU about playing night games is like when teams let the special needs kid score a touchdown. With all the criminal activity and complaints about traffic, there is a real safety case to be made that LSU should be required to play more day games for the sake of visiting fans.

It's going to get harder and harder for everyone. Playing field has never been this level and will continue to be even more level over time.

The empty seats in the 4th quarter of Bama games at LSU are less noticeable at night.

A&M would be the ones to get offended by something like this. The reality is that it really doesn’t matter what time of day we play them in TS. Two years ago it was an afternoon game and we beat them by 2 scores.

Well then… I’m glad we own the SEC office in something. Lord knows Bama has ruled that office in everything else.

Meanwhile Florida had to host Miami last year at 3:30 in late August.
