#12 is our peak position right now in the AP Poll. Because of the uncertainty with the regime change this year we've yet to crack the top 10 this season but a convincing win this weekend and I think we do so and the media begins to view us in a favorable light going forward into the bye. I expect us to be back in the playoff talk again this season when the first CFP poll comes out

To be honest we've broken about even.
The past 9 seasons we have very likely had the best team in America in 7 of them and only won 4 national titles. 4 titles is insanely awesome of course, but we've pissed away 3 more we really had no business pissing away.
Saban once said as much when they asked him about all his titles. He said he doesn't think so much about the 5 he's won, but about the 5 or so teams that he's had that should have won it but didn't.
