The LSU athletic department, knows damn well that LSU isn't getting anywhere near Atlanta. That is why they choose the home game, instead of the rescheduled game.

Yeah, $6.5M has nothing to do with it. I thought you guys said LSU is broke?

Jeez...just stop already. Sankey will mandate when the game will be played. There is absolutely zero chance that it won't.

Agree

They can be stacked up with the Leonard Fournette for Heisman threads and pre-season national title threads

No one cares.

Eventually GS will have the balls to say "Heres how its going to be", and simply hand out a ruling vs negotiating with 2 of the 14 members.

This is really a 12 vs 2 situation, as EVERYONE in the league wants this game played and doesn't care how it is accomplished.

Objectively, the SEC covering the cost of paying off both opponents + whatever revenue is projected for LSU to host a home game against a scrub opponent on the 19th is what should happen....if this is agreed to, LSU has no leg to stand on to not go to Gville and play the game on the 19th.

Just to prove how not-trolling I am, I'd even be understanding if GS TOLD A&M "move the LSU game to Saturday night, no exceptions". It sucks, but we'd figure it out.

The thought of not playing a major league game is Big 12ish.

I always wondered what LSU fans smoked in their spare time for this level of delusion to take over their lives...

You'll see how "irrrelevant" when you come to Tiger Stadium this year. The last 2 times you were there Chavis gave you the game. So glad his prevent playing arse is giving up leads somewhere else.

Your presence in this thread certainly proves that.

I'm pretty sure everyone wants it played and everyone wants to be sure it doesn't negatively impact them.

There is an entire thread of Aggies whining about moving the Thanksgiving day game.

Just ignore that poster. He has to take several swipes at LSU just to get a response or two. He does it in every thread.

He does nothing but troll and isn't good at it.

They can't make Atlanta without it. Alabama and A&M aren't both losing 2 games. If LSU wins out the Bama A&M winner will go despite losing head to head because LSU would give up a couple million from a cupcake game

What would happen if:

LSU wins out,
Alabama loses to Tennessee, and
Florida loses another SEC game somewhere

ETA: LSU vs. Tennessee in the SEC Championship, right?

Our athletic department gives back to the university out of its surplus. A missed game that we are unable to collect insurance for hurts the education side of things that depends on that money. An SEC championship isn't worth cutting educators pay and jobs. Sorry, this ain't gumpland.

This. It's cajunbama's 3rd or 4th alter. One of his longest tenured was NAC, until that account got perma-banned too.

LSU stands to be the loser in this scenario. 6-1 is a LOWER winning percentage than 7-1. Even if either Bama or aTm only loss is to LSU...you still lose.

LSU would drop South Alabama in a heartbeat, if this were the case.
