The majority of LSU fans in that thread who actually gave a quantifiable prediction said LSU would win 10 regular season games, which means a playoff spot.

Because you don’t believe something doesn’t have any bearing on whether it is true or not. Three of the five LSU fans who made a definitive prediction on LSU’s season record said 10 wins is the expectation.

Most LSU fan here will tell you there aren’t any expectations. Reality says different

The evidence says that Ole Miss with Kiffin would blow a 9 point 4th quarter lead against UGA. And without Kiffin the Rebs would kick long field goals, take points and beat UGA.

Sorry, but the chest pounding has already hit the 120+ decibel level.

You have reached a new off season threshold where only Tennessee, Texas and Aggies fans have gone before.

The chest pounding about what LSU and Lane Kiffin either weren't doing or would not be able to do was 10x that and no one cared. Now that all of that bullshite was wrong, people like you have a problem with us clapping back. I love this fricking board.

What do you want to bet that when the annual team prediction thread is all said and done that 75% of LSU fans predict 10 wins or more? I will take the over.

We won 7 last year with a retarded coach and a retarded interim head coach. Winning 3 more isn't out of the realm of possibilities.

You're mischaracterizing their statements.

For example, one said he'd be good with 10-3 and missing the playoff which would obviously be a 9-3 regular season record.

Your incorrect statement was:

The majority of LSU fans in that thread who actually gave a quantifiable prediction said LSU would win 10 regular season games,

I don’t see how boosters spend $50 million on a roster and not expect immediate results. If they don’t make the playoff at a minimum this year, it will be a failure with all the talent they have

I agree-

To whom much is given, much is expected.

Reasonable or not, expectations will be high.

Georgia doesn't play LSU, Tennessee, aTm, and Texas this season...

With the new nine game conference schedule, all of the off season hype isn't going to protect you from the circular firing squad.

Kiffin's best team was the year before last and he couldn't make the playoffs with an eight game conference schedule.

Kirby warned everyone about the new reality that $ankey saddled the SEC with.

all of the off season hype

Telling people that they are wrong is not hyping the upcoming season.

The media and this board ....

LSU is poor and doesn't have the buyout money to fire Kelly. WRONG

No one is gonna want to coach LSU now after the governor. WRONG

LSU doesn't have the money to hire a good coach. WRONG

No one wants to play for Lane. WRONG
He actually signed the best portal class ever.

Leavitt left without signing and doesn't want to play for Lane. WRONG
The board went silent when he signed with LSU

Kiffin can't sign a QB. WRONG

Jordan Seaton is using Lane to get more money. WRONG
The board was only LSU fans for the rest of that night after Seaton signed.

Time and time again people have doubted and every time they've been wrong so far. That's just off the top of my head. And after being wrong every time, there has been a pivot to "well he won't do this" or "yeah how did that work out before." There is always a pivot and it is fricking glorious!

Seriously? The Buckeye fan is right. The B1G has won the last three National Championships, and did it with 3 different teams.

They finished with 3 of the top 5 teams in the country. At the moment, I don't think it is too far fetched to say the B1G has passed the SEC...at least for now. It's not like the Buckeye fan has come out of nowhere to make these claims. You can claim that the B1G is top heavy, but that is exactly what they were saying when the SEC was winning titles every year. Right now, the B1G has passed us. It's just the way things are right now. The SEC has gotten complacent, and will need to get on the stick if we want to be back on the top again.
