Well Aggie didn't even outscore our backups last year so we know where one of the 5.4 will come from.

If my math is correct, A&M should still lose 15-7.

I love the idea that relatively unheralded guys heading into the season like Burrow, Jefferson, CEH, Patrick Queen, etc. who nobody on the rant gave credit to going into last season are now all of a sudden irreplaceable.

Those guys worked hard and became break out stars, but the next wave of kids is more than capable of making their mark and becoming the next household names.

Probably won't see another dream season like 2019, simply because once in a lifetime seasons only come around once in a lifetime.

They'll still be pretty damn talented with the kids O has been bringing in.

I agree with you about recruiting and the staff, I think LSU is at a level now where they can plug kids in and not see a dramatic drop in production.

I think most reasonable LSU fans also knew going in, and still do, that the season won't be a replay of 2019 in all likelihood and that a lot rides on how well Brennan plays. It's college football, kids come and go, fans can't go into a panic every time good players leave.

No FBS team in the last 20 years has won more than 7 games the year following a loss of >60% of their total offensive production. Average of 5.4 wins per year.

Is this true?

Just like heading into the '19 season nobody knew who CEH, Moss, Jaamar, Marshall and Jet were. You will get to know the '20 version real well pretty quick.

Going into the '15 season bama was returning THREE starters on offense and TWO of the three were Olinemen. I have a hunch the returned less than 60% of their production from '14. tide played for a national championship that year.

Even with Jefferson graduating, LSU's WR corps was one of, if not the deepest position groups in CFB coming into this year. Losing Chase sucks, but it will be fun to see the production out of the next players, obviously contingent upon Brennan. I will give you that Brennan is definitely unproven, he only played in mop-up duty in blowouts against garbage teams last year. But maybe A&M fans caught a glimpse of his potential.

Dude McMath and Marshall are the only actual proven players on that list

Yet other teams would kill to have our top 5 talent and depth so laugh now, cry later.

Wow! The only thing missing from corndog 2020 and Auburn 2011 is a mass arrest of scholly players robbing a weed dealer at gunpoint. Stay tuned....
