I'm still calling 70-69 with the loser botching an extra point snap.

I find it amusing that A&M fans are in here talking about defense

Two field goals. They couldn't even punch it into the end zone for 6...even UAB and Kent St. managed to do that.

Well, your shitty D is waaaayyyyyy better than our non existent OL.
How could we try to challenge that secondary without being able to get a pass off?

This needs to be discussed, and while some of your points are valid, I disagree a little bit, and here's why.

I always looked at these super prolific offenses as gimmicks. More so aTm than Arky (in the Petrino days), but teams like aTm/Oregon/whomever that run these "gimmick" offenses seem to fold/fade when they play defenses littered with defensive athletes as good as their respective offensive athletes. See aTM last year vs LSU, and Florida. See Oregon vs. LSU, circa 2011, Oregon vs. Auburn in their championship year, etc. It's a pretty consistent pattern. Gimmick offense known for laying half a hunnerd on everyone they play comes up against good defense, said offense can't do what they've done the whole year.

IMO, the difference is that LSU's offense is not gimmicky. It's a pro style offense that just executes extremely well. I see that as a much different animal than a Manziel offense, or an Oregon offense/whomever.

All that said, here's the one thing that baffles me. It seems to NEVER fail that a team with a super prolific offense - no matter HOW they get there, be it gimmicks or a well oiled pro style offense, cannot field a good defense. This phenomenon is seen OVER and OVER and OVER.

It's pretty much the whole MO of the Big 12 recently, and I cannot figure out why. Had LSU not had the mass exodus on defense, I think you'd have seen the most special team in the history of college football. But alas, we'll never see it.

Explain to me though, your thoughts on why it is that you never see a team with a high powered offense play defense just as well. It could be as simple as the coaches put the best athletes on offense, ie, a guy that CAN be a DB winds up playing receiver. Or maybe practice is more geared towards offense. I don't know, but this situation has baffled me forever.

Would love to hear y'alls thoughts on this.

Why did you waste so much time responding to a troll.

I am certainly no LSU fan but this deserves a bump. This guy does nothing but troll.
