As an Alabama alum myself, this is a terrible "gotcha" argument. There are just over five million people living in the state of Alabama, many of whom are college football fans that cheer for Alabama. As we are a blue collar state where the average income is just over $27,000, it would be foolish to think that all of them are graduates of Alabama - especially when you consider damn near 70% of the current enrollees are from out of state.

Those chargers weren't buying themselves. Out of State money and student body growth = worth it

Why, to fund the Dallas Pain Institute, of course.

Because Alabama wanted to expand its student population to around 30,000 and needed out of state talent to do it. They did this by dangling huge merit scholarships without income restrictions to prospective out-of-state students. As a result, we got a lot of students from Texas, California, Illinois, and other states throughout the southeast to come to Alabama.

Bama is actively recruiting and giving full scholarships to second-tier high school students from Louisiana.

In TN you can go to Alabama for free if you have ok test scores. It really is an interesting strategy. My coworker from Ohio….. his son got a full ride offer to Alabama and could not get into Ohio State. Odd.

Now I’m getting the Dallas Pain Institute ad banner at the top of the rant page.

I expect all the LSU posters in this thread will as well.

Well done!

You should see them in day to day life. The worst ones don't even post online. Sunday more were bragging about injuring JD than winning the game. The ones posting here are saints compared to regular Bama fans.

You should have been concentrating more on your fry station and less on real men talking.
