At this point I don't see how Miles this year at LSU. So would you prefer him to be let go now or after the year is over?

This is a good question.

Firing him now would make it easier to bring in Briles

The longer they wait, the more chance he has to keep his job.

I say finish him. Leave the gun, take the cannoli.

I don't think you ever want to lose a coach midseason. You don't really get an advantage - how many programs actually got a better coach because of the "head start"? I can think of a couple cases where programs got stuck with keeping their interim because it looked like he suddenly got the players in the right direction, and then they sucked and were stuck with the backup guy.

Zook was fired after the Mississippi State loss in 2004, and Foley hired Meyer

After the season. The season is done regardless. It's his time to go, but that man truly bleeds purple and gold. He deserves to finish out this year before we announce Herman as our new coach.

I am in the minority of LSU fans, but would prefer staff changes at this point (moving out the offensive coordinator and possibly special teams coaches) and allow Coach Miles to stay and see how the rest of the season plays out.

If he is against moving out the two above coaches right now, then I am ok with making a change at the top right now.

Right now, just to confirm that he is, indeed, the problem. Fire Cameron, too.

I don't think you got an advantage there. Notre Dame was still in front of you, and he turned them down because Florida has so much more potential.

And then you've got South Carolina and Muschamp...

Now. Remove the negativity surrounding his ignorant ways. Orgeron can finish the year as good or better than Miles.

I'd prefer to let him finish the season, but the rant has been melting hard since the Wisconsin game, so any post suggesting Miles won't be fired Monday morning is met with downvotes.

And if he goes on a run, you'll have fans calling for him to be the coach - especially given him being a local favorite. If you make Orgeron the interim, you better be ready for the possibility that he's your permanent head coach.

No, he doesn't. He got that consideration last year and squandered it with a wasted off season. Fire him now.

I am ok with him being the permanent guy if it is not going to be Coach Miles. Now.....laughing.....have to admit, have personal reasons for that
