Dude, us fans had no voice in the Kelly hire. There’s a lot of us who never liked the hire. But…. We are fans of our program, so we wanted to see the man succeed.
It’s obvious that he’s never going to take LSU where we want. But… we are currently stuck with him. I love football, I love LSU. I’m not going to stop watching simply because I don’t like the coach.

Sure it is. Just because 100% your fans didn’t crown him doesn’t mean the vocal ones who represent your base on here didn’t. Run and hide from it but it doesn’t mean it didn’t happen and for that everyone else is laughing today as those same people turn on him.

You’ve been on this forum long enough to know and see the argument of “he had limitations at ND and still won, he’s better than Freeman, every LSU coach wins a title, he got a DC, Nuss is the best QB, and Heisman front runner, etc.”

This place can be weird at times.
It's no different than you and your crimson brethren touting the fact that DeBoer made a championship with lesser talent at Washington.
It's literal fact, I don't see that as you guys "crowning" him or making more of the situation than it is.

He beat Saban in year one and made the SEC championship and plenty were ready to say he was elite. Again, you usually have a mouthful of Willy dick in your mouth and last night Willy went unhinged on Kelly. I think that’s a pretty good representation of how far he’s fallen in a few years time.

Honestly, most of us thought it was a bad hire for the money and contract. I don’t think most were excited about a geriatric coach that hadn’t won shite of meaning in over 2 decades was going to turn things around.
After his first season, the fans had more hope, sure but turns out three players basically carried those teams in year 1 and 2.
Some of us knew it likely wouldn’t work even then and a ton of us knew this would be a disaster the second he promoted Sloan. A coach that has to promote an undeserving coach to OC to try and please a recruit he didn’t even get told you enough about Kelly.
