LSU fans question about Corey Raymond

Your DB coach Corey Raymond is one of the guys being brought up as a candidate to be the new DB coach at Auburn. Do you think he would leave LSU? And how do you feel about him as a coach/recruiter?

For whatever reason, we can't recruit Line Backers to save our life. That's all I know.

If the money is right he could leave but I don't see an offer that we wouldn't match.
Amazing recruiter. Pretty good position coach.

He seems to keep being brought up by every writer and every opposing coach that's recruiting our DB commits and targets, but he's given no indication that he's looking to leave and we're not looking to push him out.
He's said he wants a DC job, so I'd be shocked if an LSU alum and LA native took a lateral move to a conference rival.
I realize after typing that that it sounds like I'm taking a shot at Auburn re Craig, but I'm not. There is no subtext to what I wrote.

has been doing very well at LSU.
We pay pretty well.
I think he is probably a favorite to get Recruiting Coordinator at LSU and that raise

He went to LSU, has Built a brand, and loves LSU. He goes somewhere, its to be D.C.

His pay for a position coach is not outstanding but decent. I am sure he could get a raise from somebody but LSU should be able to match it. His recruiting has been excellent.

To bad LSU cant do anything with all NFL talent. Its really not that big of a gap of NFL players between AU & LSU

That's a pretty big jump in numbers and it's not as if Auburn is blazing any trails with their talent.

Craig left AU because of Rhett Lashlee plain and simple. He wants to be an OC and eventually a HC. He made an ultimatum that he wanted to be OC or he was leaving. Gus said bye. Truth is had Craig kept his mouth shut and not been a part (small part but still a part) of the locker room drama last year he would have probably been calling plays for AU this year.

Yall keep saying he is an LSU alum. Craig was an AU alum and made the move. Auburn could bring in the guy at top dollar and give him the Co DC title. Not saying ita gonna happen but I think people put too much stock in being an alum. We just lost 2 co dc in the past two seasons that took dc jobs elsewhere. A promotion and top dollar (that AU has shown they will pay) would be pretty enticing. He seems like a great posiion coach and recruiter that AU could really use with McGriff being gone now. I personally think the ceime dog was an excellent coach and hate to see him go. Withat being said, i agree its probably a pipe dream to land the lsu guy. Who knows. Maybe he enjoyed his time with Steele at LSU.
Gus has got to figure out a way to keep these good position coaches/recruiters on staff. His assitants have been a frickin revolving door since he got here. Yet, he seems to keep the shitty ones around.
Like i said I doubt he comes to AU, but the alum thing doesnt carry as much wieght in a coaches decision to stay or leave IMO

You obviously dont know what youre talking about. The talent at AU has been the best its ever been. The results haven't shown on the field, but i think it has to do with the instability of the staff Gus has put together. Seems like his staff gets plundered of pretty good coaches,it seems, on a yearly basis

CR's name is being thrown out there to make recruits think he's leaving the same thing was used last year Florida kept saying they were getting him to try to steer Kristin Fulton from lsu to Florida.
