I get this impression from reading the board. If so why? Does Bama winning help LSU somehow? Nervous about AU leapfrogging LSU in the West? Battered wife syndrome?

Where the hell do you get this from??? Most LSU fans are pulling for AU. Insecure much?

I'm not a fan of Alabama, but Auburn has no chance at the national championship game, even if they win, unless OSU manages to lose.

So, if 'Bama loses the Iron Bowl, the SEC won't get any NC $, but if 'Bama goes to the NC, it opens up a better bowl for someone else in the SEC...more $ for all.

I pull for Alabama in every game they're not playing LSU and I root against Auburn in everything so I'm going to go with Alabama today.

win or lose, auburn will come out second in the west and lsu will be third (if we beat arky).

if Alabama destroys auburn, atm destroys mizzou, Clemson destroys s.c., and bama destroys s.c. in the seccg, then some tiger fans think that we have a shot at the sugar.

espn gave it a 10% chance.

Seems like the LSU - Bama 'rivalry' would cause the Tigahs to pull against the Tide.

No way - why would LSU fans want our 1/2 win against y'all in those unthinkable weather conditions to be diminished in any way.

You'll find a few odd people that are rooting for Bama out of a very large group.

pulling for the meteor

that's not smart, a meteor large enough to break Earth's atmosphere and strike Auburn, Alabama would annihilate everything for a 2,000 mile radius.

Well due to the topography of Alabama, this would flood the entire southeast from central Texas, up to Kentucky, and the eastern seaboard south of Virginia. Good luck crootin in the Midwest. Some people just wanna watch the world flood.

Landmass would be water mass. Tennessee would turn into a giant fishing hole. Northwest Georgia would no longer worry about water (ironically they would all drown) and the process of Louisiana slowly sinking into the gulf (brilliant idea with the levees around the Mississippi) would move into warp speed.
