LSU fans need to get over it

Bama is a media darling like Ohio State, USC and Notre Dame.
If LSU lost to Bama then we would be dismissed already and it would be Bama and Okie State no question. However LSU is undefeated and can't be denied. This is a dream season and LSU has beat every team in it's path (including Bama although some of their fans are still in denial).
Bottom line is LSU is not a media darling and never will be. Turn off ESPN with the paid shills they trot out on the tube, quit reading "news" and enjoy this year. They don't come around very often.

Well USC has basically dropped off the face of the earthy because of NCAA violations

Bama and Saban combined make for a good TV and hype..
LSU winning 3 BCS's in 9 years is very impressive...

True. And, being a media darling has nothing to do with winning or being the best team on the field. It has everything to do with name recognition and what happened 50 years ago.
College football is weird like that.
Notre Dame and USC can go 5-7 and we hear about them constantly. But, Miami and Florida St. dominated several decades of college football and we don't hear anything about them.
It isn't "What have you done for me lately?" It's "how good were you when your team wore leather helmets?" Strange.

Agreed they suck, but they are still media favorites and will always get special treatment from the press if they ever are worth a shite again.

I read this same post on another site, except it said LSU was the media darling and biased against Alabama.
Don't know if either is true. But this is certain: fans are very objective.

While I agree Alabama is a media darling again since Saban got there if Bama had won first game espn would still be pushing hard for rematch. Despite people on this board saying the remtach =lower ratings the first games ratings were the highest on cbs in like 16 -17 years I recall. The casual fan, not the diehards like all of us know Alabama very few know okie st. Now espn will have a month to try and hype them and the fact most feel it wont be a competative game. Thats why they want a rematch. it's not anti lsu its def anti okie st. Now if the big 12 team was texas bama would not be recieving this espn love.

The media is in love with all teams in large media markets or that have a large national following. People that are dumb argue that the media doesn't push teams from the New York area so that poo poo's the theory. When in reality college football just doesn't move the needle in NY. They love the NFL.
So stop whining the media is following the money, more views equals more ad dollas.
