I don’t see MM being let go, even if he has a rough year. He’s on a 7 year contract with a buyout too. But in 2026, you think he will get canned if he struggles?

Is there a chance that tPear would be welcomed back or that ship has sailed? Would you want a mid major or P4 coach? I can see LSU going after a Scott Drew with his Louisiana ties like they got Mulkey.

LSU would take tPear back in a heartbeat. With NIL these days, strong arse offers are all the rage. Plus he can coach....

Aggy has never even been to an Elite 8 and now they're pretending to be some college basketball blue blood

Think he grew up some in BR while his dad was a Dale Brown assistant.

We had to start picking up our end of the forced rivalry for a few years, we just kept getting our butts kicked

Probably not.

If we decide to raise the money, sure.

That ship has probably sailed.

I'd like to see someone hired that has post-season success at a competitor.

Not gonna lie. Mixed bag of opinions bc we just haven’t had a traditionally consistent MBB program.

MM is a nice guy. Product isn’t great. tPear? Sure. Low bar to hype us up going forward

Sadly fan apathy has bled over to fat Scott.

He sees men’s basketball as a net loss and at best #3 on the totem pole probably 4 after women’s.

Football will always be number 1 and yes baseball is going to be hard to supplant at this point at 2 so scott sees men’s team as non sustainable because of so much overlap.

The issue is that it’s not true.

I will cite this video as what the PMAC can be and used to be even after baseballs rise

LSU ultimately needs consistency and a personality to get out of footballs shadow though.

70s-90s Dale was a personality

Early 2000s Brady was inconsistent. Fans would tune in for when we were winning but then tune out.

Trent Johnson would ultimately kill the fan base.

Wade (outspoken personality and consistent) was building it back up but McMahon and Scott killed it again

Scott wont fire him though until we are moving into the new arena. That’s minimum 2-3 years. Probably more.

Yeah that’s why I said I think he will make a move when we are opening the new arena but that hasn’t even been finalized much less broke ground.

I think he has one more season regardless of this year, but after this season the buyout will be low enough to justify cutting bait.

In today’s era of everyone being ADHD LSU hiring Wade would start up a few day witch hunt and then everyone will go quiet. If auburn can hire freeze I’m not sure why Sankey would be a bitch about it.

I think LSU could bring him back with a decent salary and free up a lot of NIL money. Woodward likes big fish so I would agree he makes Scott drew say no first.

I’m think he is a good coach but he’s had to rebuild what Grimace left in shambles. The program was decimated 3 years ago. Now his best player got hurt and LSU has struggled since. Just a series of hard knocks. He’s recruiting well.
It took 4 years for Bruce Pearl to turn Auburn around. Once he got his Philosophy and his players in place, they haven’t looked back. Not saying he’s Bruce Pearl but I think he’s a good coach.
I know all the LSU fans are down on him but you’ll know if he’s the right guy by the end of ‘26.
