Your basketball situation comes off as you are keeping MM and punishing yourselves bc what Wade did looked bad, and it looked like LSU needed to clean house. But in reality, Wade just did NIL 2 years too early. Maybe firing Wade was a knee jerk reaction to the media, maybe it wasn’t. But McMahon is a nice guy, and if Sam Pittman taught us anything, it’s that nice guys in the SEC don’t get fired easily.

I really meant somebody that had proven that they could field a competitive post season team, not specifically a direct competitor.

I disagree. McMahon’s got the rest of the season and next full season and he’s out if things keep going south. Woodward doesn’t put up with losing records and no fan attendance. Doesn’t matter that Men’s Basketball has fallen to 5th on campus. Football 1, Baseball 2, Women’s Basketball 3, Gymnastics 4. And yeah I know baseball makes a little bit of money and WBB and Gymnastics struggle to turn a profit. Woodward does over pay and is respected in the athletic community. We should be able to hire a respected basketball coach. Shame we don’t have a successful LSU alum or a super popular Louisianan like Mulkey coaching Men’s Basketball.

Woodward will never hire Wade back, and even if he tried, if I was Wade I would tell him go get fricked.
