Yes it is. For some reason the younger generation doesn't seem to really give a frick about football. It's a social event.

I'm 24 and I sound like I'm 64.

Back in the 70s there were not 25 games a week on TV in HD. Tickets were much cheaper and hard to get.

Alabama was on TV more that any other SEC team and that was only about 3 times a year, and 1 of those were OOC and the other was a bowl game.

Times have changed. You can walk down the road and watch several games. Back then you just had AM radio or go to the game.

P.S. newspapers are not a big thing anymore either.

Sure it is. For people ignorant of why it was done, that is.

For the ignorant, there are two words you need to know: corporate suites.

I know why. Because you don't know what you're talking about.

Good to know you are still consumed with the butthurt.

Get ready for it to hurt even more when LSU beats the shite out of UF in November

Yep. We have the same problem. If it's not a big game our students clear out to go party after half time. Saban bitched about it and that helped for awhile but students will be students. Bong awaits.

And I'm sure Tiger stadium is not very loud when LSU is playing a cupcake either. That's why most people think Bryant-Denny is not very loud. But, compare either one on a big game and you'll hit record decibel levels at both.

Only an SEC-era Aggie wouldn't admit that A&M has long been a leader in empty seats on gameday.

Maybe the student section would be louder if there were fewer 30-year-olds in it

It's true. Tiger stadium requires a solid opponent to be what is written about it.

Les Miles style of play has sucked a lot of energy out of that place for the mediocre games. Students and other fans are conditioned to leave at half for more entertainment. That will change w O or someone else. We are only 2 games post 1968 style football

I know a lot of Bama fans that still like the radio broadcast.I have seen them turn the sound off on their tv. To me, it is a life saver for when I need to work on Saturdays. I do remember as a kid listening to games wishing they were on tv.

Definitely a feature of this generation and time...hope it doesn't continue.

All schools are dealing with it.

That said, U of FLAtulence can go frick itself.

Florida has the same problem. Like the Bama poster said, schools need to cut the available student tickets. They don't appreciate the game as much as previous generations and aren't attending the games.

They could easily sell them to the general public.

How long has this a-hole been a student?

We have a 75% winning % at Tigah Stadium.

Had a streak of 3 straight decades (70's - 90's) where we didn't lose there, just one tie in 1985.
