What is it with some of you Ole Miss fans and LSU. You all play Alabama this week in Tuscaloosa. This is not the 1950's or 1960's, the era of LSU/Ole Miss that my Father and Uncles followed.
How would Ole Miss fans, like you, deal with a situation where in a 9 game SEC schedule, LSU and Ole Miss do not play?
In fact, there is no SEC game that LSU has to play, there are only games that should be or probably should be played. My view as an LSU fan in the new 16 team SEC, the only games that Have to be played are:
1) Bama/Auburn
2) UGA/Florida
3) Auburn/Florida
4) Ole Miss/Miss. State
and 2 involving Texas
5) Texas/OU
6) Texas/Texas A&M
Now what are games that should be played,
7) TENN/Bama and I would say TENN/Vandy since that is a game that TENN for recruiting and alumni reasons would want to play in Nashville every other year
For LSU, there are no games that must be played. Our AD (Woodward) has on record stated that when the SEC goes to 9 games he can't imagine LSU not playing Alabama so that is 1 game that He thinks should be played (He did not say it must be played). I think he is also on record saying that LSU and Texas A&M should be played, Houston is a major LSU alumni area, maybe larger than any other area other than the New Orleans and Baton Rouge areas. DFW is another one.
So for the 3rd game, Ole Miss maybe should be played (and older guard LSU alums and fans would be the group that would want this), but there are arguments from other LSU fans that it could just as easily be Florida, Miss. State, or even Arkansas.

Who has said they are horrible. I think Ole Miss has a legitimate chance to win at Bama this weekend. If the line is Alabama a 7 point favorite, that means on a neutral field it is Bama a 3/4 point favorite and at Oxford, a pickem bascially

Ok, so is it a response to LSU fans or one random guy on this site that is an LSU fan?
I don't think the overwhelming majority of LSU fans have given any thoughts about the LSU/Ole Miss game. LSU plays Arkansas this week and Ole Miss plays Bama.
Next week, LSU-Ole Miss talk 100% on board.
