This is why any coach in America who had to choose between Mett or AJ for their starting QB would take AJ.

And just when I thought It couldn't get any more stupid, this gem pops up..

maybe

AJ seems like a very solid option but Met seems like he has a much higher ceiling.

I don't know. Tough call.

I might trade him for Wilson, the best QB and toughest kid in the conference, and a tremendous leader. Outside of that, no.

yeah, change that "might" to "would"

Wilson is just better. AJ is a solid QB though.

No. Simply put, I don't consider AJ "above-average". Yes, I know I know he played a great NC game, 21-0, etc., etc.

But he is the weak link of Bama's team, and was extremely mediocre for the 1st 12 games.

There are a couple of QBs in the SEC I would trade Mett for in order to have the "sure thing", but AJ isn't one of them.

I didn't realize Mett played so poorly.

Yea, he looked terrible on the bench.

I dont see the hype about Mett. He just doesnt stand out to me. Maybe he will prove me wrong but I just dont see him being a big time QB.

Assuming, arguendo, that you are a Bama and Baltimore Raven fan, why are you concerned about having a "big time" quarterback?

What does him not seeing the Mett hype have to do with him being concerned about his own teams having a really good QB? Nice deflection.

For those interested in facts, AJ had almost precisely the same season, attempt for attempt (read that as proportionally), as . . .

Attacking someone's logic in their criticism is not a deflection. I refuse to take responsibility for you being unable to see how it related to his comment.

Nope, because I see your posts, and that is the conclusion that I arrived at.

You brought up two QBs that had nothing to do with this thread as a basis for your attack. Good try?

Well I stated an opinion, so if the conclusion you reached is that my opinion is wrong, then you disagreed.

Instead, why not try to convince me why I would want AJ over Mett?

Its pretty simple: AJ is proven, and Mett is not at all. If you have read this thread, and still cannot understand that, then I dont know what to do for ya.
