how fricking dumb is it to sit here and bash a coach who kicks your arse every year.
Dan Mullens beats Ole Miss every year, does that mean Ole Miss fans are required to think he is a great coach?

neither is any coach who has the ability to get 4 and 5 stars every year because they don't have to

With Cam and the Chief, Mary Poppins could be our head coach and still beat Sumlin

well if we're going by numbers, he's every bit as good as freeze and brought them back from the doormat of the sec.

It's really splitting hairs trying to differentiate the Top6-8 coaches in the SEC IMO. They all have strengths or they wouldn't have gotten a job in the premier conference in America to begin with. They arguably are all the Top6-8 coaches in AMERICA, not just the SEC. It just happens most of them are in the same conference, same division in some cases.... It follows that unfortunately - since they all play each other - someone or multiple people will pile up some losses and get the axe (and people will say "they suck") even though under different circumstances they may have become the next superstar head coach in college football.
Such is life in the SEC. And maybe why Strong went to Texas when Florida wanted him.

He cleans up the top 15-20 kids in Louisiana every year nabs a few elite guys from Texas, Mississippi, etc.
He isn't exactly finding diamond two stars here.

Seriously, you are showing your bias. Sumlin is a good coach. He doesn't have a long track record yet, but he's a good coach. I think saying otherwise is kind of stupid. You saying Miles is not at least a good coach and saying he hasn't done a good job at OSU and LSU is pretty stupid.

Any way you slice it, it makes me smile that those two names have been our two coaches for the last 14 years. There is a reason LSU is the SEC's winningest program this century, and those two names are the reason.
