I understand your feelings on Miles v. Saban, but are there any other coaches that you would rather?
Probably not. Most head coaches would want to change the offensive personality, and we finally have some intelligence with Cameron.

Y'all have had a solid run the last 14 yrs. Just proves that solid coaching stability is paramount to consistant success in this league.
We've also had a who's who list of coordinators. Jimbo, Muschamp, and Bo have all coached at LSU in the BCS era.

RT you may be too young to remember but in the 60's and 70's we had:
Vaught at Ole Miss, Bryant at Bama (58-82), McClendon at LSU (61-79), Dooley at UGA, Jordan at Auburn. All were long-tenured SEC coaches.
I think currently we have Pinkel at Mizzou, Spurrier at USC, Miles at LSU, Richt at Georgia -all at a decade or more, with Saban now starting his eighth year.
Is Nick the longest tenured at Bama since the Bear? Maybe Stallings was longer, not sure.

No and I wouldn't trade him for Saban.

Wouldn't trade him for anyone but if I did for someone it'd be spurrier.

The main point to my post was geared toward RogerKlavin and his dumbass posts in this thread where he attempts to discredit Les Miles' success at OSU & LSU. It takes a whole lot more than talent to put a consistantly strong product on the football field.

Roger is an idiot, and a flamer.

Absolutely.
Both Saban and Miles have not only recruited well, but they also know how to surround themselves with great assistants.
Saban is the best at game plans and management, and, outside of Ole Miss '09, Tennessee '10 and Bama Jan'12, Miles has done pretty well also.
