LSU fan opinion on Tigerland

At the ice house this past weekend and met a LSU fan who came in another friend group
Long story short the LSU fan ended up talking about Tigerland and how it was worse than Northgate. He said it was too far away from campus and wished it was closer like Northgate
Also said there were only like 5 bars there and they were mostly “run down”.
With a large party school like LSU I figured the bar scene would be better. Is there land room to build a larger bar district like Northgate closer to campus?

You aren’t old enough to get in bars Daniel

You can’t spell texag without LSU.

Apologize no queer bars for you to visit

Well according to buzzfeed, Fred's in Tigerland ranks #13 among college bars...

Tigerland bars are built like Spring Break bars in Mexico. No frills, just hard drinking and pussy slaying (which OP would know nothing about).

Yes, BR only has 5 bars. But please visit them all.

5?
I can only think of one but he's kinda right. You have to trek through about 5 blocks of the hood to get to Splash.

One of the craziest night of my life happened at tiger land after an auburn game. Ended up sleeping at some random girls place and my friend slept outside on a airport bench. Good times

If you can't appreciate Fred's or Bogies, you have no business being at a college bar.
I will admit that it should be closer to campus, but the area used to house college students almost exclusively.

Tigerland is a run-down shithole. There’s a complex in the back that’s section 8 whose residents pillage the campus community. I don’t consider that area a safe place to walk at night.
As for the bars, they’re crummy, but sorta a right of passage. Reggie’s is the go-to spot for underage drinking. Fred’s is a classic college bar for club music, drunk coeds, and cheap drinks. Those bars basically are played out by the time you’re actually old enough to drink in them legally, but Bogies is still fun for a night of slumming it to mid 2000’s hiphop.
The post-21 crowd mostly drinks around the Perkins Overpass area these days. Campus’s bar scene is seriously lacking.
