quote:The problem with that class (other than Jimbo) was how unbalanced it was. They loaded up on elite D-line but the other positions they recruited were average to above average, but not truly elite. D-line can only get you so far...as you may have seen when we played them last Saturday.
Yeah, but here's the thing.
Honestly, truly, we just never know how these classes will work out. It's sort of an exercise in futility from a fan's perspective.
A&M had THE GOAT class three or four cycles ago.
Highest rated class in history. Where are they now? They're like the cast of Supertrain. Most expensive cast ever assembled ... show was a total flop. Most have never even heard of it much less remember it.

Who had him going first overall?
It's almost always a QB going first these days.

Five-star OT Solomon Thomas flips from Florida State to LSU
LINK
quote:
LSU landed a major signing day victory Wednesday when the Tigers completed the flip of five-star Florida State offensive tackle pledge Solomon Thomas, No. 13 in the 2025 ESPN 300. Thomas, ESPN's No. 3 offensive tackle in the 2025 class, had been committed to the Seminoles since December 2023 and remained as the top-ranked prospect for coach Mike Norvell amid a flurry of Florida State decommitments this fall. But Thomas' pledge grew shaky in the final weeks before the early signing period as he took late November trips to Florida and LSU, and he now lands with the Tigers as the top-ranked signee in Brian Kelly's 2025 class.
