I think they might be sixth. Might. Texas sure isn’t the best team in the SEC. Preseason rankings have skewed everything
And A&M’s ceiling was always 8-4 this year. Not a T25 team. But you cannot start the season unranked if you made the playoffs the year before.

I guess beating a mediocre Tennessee team with a freshman QB by 3 points qualifies as an impressive win? LSU dismantled your rival not just beat them.

I feel like one of the signs of being a great team is when every team you beat is suddenly the worst team ever because you destroyed them. This happened a lot on 2019 when LSU was mowing down everyone except for Auburn. Props to Auburn for that. Still kind of surprises me to think about.
