Right. ESPN article makes it sound like he was getting food or he was right outside Subway.

Why would so many of you down vote this? You might not like it but it is the absolute truth.

Because it's not the time or the place to bring this shite up, that's why!

Prayers to his entire family! His dad Wayne was a Tiger great!

It really saddens me that some cultures kill some of their own most talented members.

It ain't a cultural problem, it's a people problem. We have been killing each other since the beginning.

After looking at social media, a few other LSU football players and other athletes were at this concert... makes you think about what could have been.

what's that even mean? what DID happen is a horrible tragedy.

Bull shite. This is a black community problem more than anywhere else. Shootings do happen in many different areas but happen more frequently in gang related areas.

What baffles me is if this was in any way related to a shooter that was thought to be white, you do have media outlets from around the world coming in and assembling protests.
Now, if they assume the shooter is black, then there will be next to zero protests or assemblies.
The result is the same...a young great black kid is now deceased, and very few will pay attention because it doesnt serve a political purpose.

RIP young man! Wayne is a friend (distant) and my heart goes out to all the family and friends of the kid. May he not die in vain.

Thanks all for all the kind words. He was a good kid and the team loved him. Was going to be an important glue guy on a team we all hope will do well. Amidst all the incoming talent Will Wade couldn’t stop gushing about Sims’ progress and offseason work.

Yeah Sims really transformed his body this offseason, he was really putting in the work because minutes would be so tough to come by this season. Sad to see it end this way for him

GTFO. This happened on Southern's campus in the middle of the hood.

There are some spots that are a little sketch, but that area is definitely not one of the worst spots in Baton Rouge.
