I figure our game will be 3:30. Is there a good double header game for CBS that Saturday? And for the record, for those still getting upset, I picked LSU to beat UGA at the start of the season and still think it's very possible.

We should have done more to win, but the officiating had way too much effect on the outcome of the game.

While I appreciate your opinion, I really don’t think UGA is any better than LSU or Auburn. Fortunately, you play both and we will soon find out who is right

The problem with the hurry up designed offense is that you are always left in a conundrum when in a typical burn clock situation. That's especially true when you have little run game to speak of. Kerryon helped a great deal last year in these situations. There is no Kerryon this year.

Whitlow had 104 yards and a td on the ground. Same stats Johnson had against Bama last year with 8 less carries. 4.7 yards per carry against that defense is good.

The problem with the no huddle is you can't have a center like Kaleb Kim who should be playing for Furman starting in the SEC. 2 holding calls on our last two drives killed us. Plus Withlow was out with an injury, leaving the 5'7 Shivers to carry the load. He is a boom bust player right now.

I literally can’t wait for night games vs Georgia
I am having trouble coming up with a scenario that puts this game at night. CBS would have to make another deal like they did in 2011

Fair enough. You could possibly see it that way. Most of the country doesn't, but you're undefeated and have probably played the toughest schedule of those who are. If your offense had been great vs. the cupcake, I think the argument could be made that two really good defenses slowed you down. It's that middle game that makes it hard to deny that you don't struggle there.

I think people are putting too much emphasis on the SLU game. Everybody including the coaches were lackadaisical in game planning for that one

Thought they both looked pretty meh honestly.

Sometimes teams just play to the level of the competition or whatever but both looked pretty inept on offense most of the game, far too many missed blocking assignments, routes poorly run, dropped balls, shite throws not under pressure etc made me feel better about upcoming matchups.

Good defenses tend to make offenses look pedestrian. It’s a no brainor

The offenses are not and I say that based on this game plus the others they have played.

LSU is 3-0 vs the toughest schedule played by anyone in the country. The Tigers beat Auburn at JHS missing two starters on the OL and with their best pass rusher out for the year.

The rebuilt OL only gave up one sack to Auburn. Barring more injuries, this team is only going to get better. Burrow has only started three games but he has two top ten wins under his belt.

I said before the season that LSU would beat UGA in Tiger Stadium, and I stand by that. We'll take our chances against anyone on our schedule.

We have the best combination of defense and special teams in the conference. If the offense comes together no game is unwinnable.

OP, that's a darned fine post and assessment. I pretty much agree with everything. If we can stay healthy defensively, boy oh boy...

This should shape up to be one epic matchup in Athens. Hope to take care of business against Ole Miss and get by a tough Miss State defense first.

TV at home unfortunately. I'm watching the Tech game in Tiger Stadium this year. But in years to come, I hope to see at least a couple in person every year, home or away. I'm living about three hours from Baton Rouge now.

Goddamn CBS. fricking robbing everyone not letting that game be played at night. Going to be hot as frick. I feel bad for the UGA players in the 2nd half. That side of the field is absolutely miserable.

Hopefully a cold front comes through but I would be surprised if it was 100+ on the field.

LSU - UGA should be a night game. Will be top 5 undefeated match up. It's a no brainer.

CBS has first pick. Their games are at 2:30 CDT, except for 1 game a year they pay for the double header and a primetime slot.

As of now, it looks like that night game will probably be LSU/Bama in Baton Rouge because they have another CBS worthy game in Auburn/A&M that day that can fill their 2:30 slot.
