wrong.

LSU is being sued by reporters who want access to how much specific players are getting paid and LSU doesn't want to give them that.

Nor are they required to.

Right. That's why LSU put a business logo on the field and on the jersey.

That 20.5 is just the max tho. You aren't required to spend that.
The whole think is a mess and I hate to see it. But the NCAA has sucked for years and allowed all of this to happen rather than being proactive years ago. Never allow the courts to tell you how to run your organization.

that's not NIL money since that doesn't come from the school, they are asking about revenue sharing

How is LSU football NIL so big? Boosters or are they using most revenue on NIL?

The very short answer is that Brian Kelly spent so little that it left Lane a bunch to spend.

True but they get sued by the likes of Tn and Ole Miss for trying to enforce their rules. They only exist to govern member institutions but those institutions keep suing them.

I thought it started with the O'Bannon twins from UCLA.

That's their argument. Tho, I didn't see them suing any other public university in the state.

By the way, what's the status of those tampering charges that Matt Moscano convinced all you we were filing ? That story disappeared like a fart in the wind.

It disappeared because your stupid arse AD realized he overestimated his hand, and that he didn’t have shite to go with. Oh, and then your dumbass coach got caught and publicly shown to actually be tampering, because he was too stupid to have someone else do the dirty work. Yeah, between those, and more, your ad shrunk back into the bushes like Homer Simpson.

After looking at the discrepancies in their budget/revenue and expenses compared to pre-NIL, it's going to be >$25 million per year minimum and may be more than $50 million if you include subsidizing the athletic department as a whole. The tricky part is tracking the money, e.g. LSU paying millions to the athletic department for something that is either effectively worthless or should be free as the AD is an entity of the university. Similarly to how Oregon was paying several million per year for a suite in Autzen for the university president in a stadium owned by the university

It couldn't be more obvious they're funneling money in via bullshite like "athletic administration revenues". Here are those figures from 2018-2024.

2018 $276,322
2019 $309,820
2020 $237,460
2021 $259,588
2022 $25,216,527
2023 $23,364,471
2024 $35,934,533

Nice timing for a 10000% increase in annual revenue ?

Sports productions is another huge red flag
2024 $23,916,660

That number is separate from SEC TV/Revenue sharing deals, is a university paying $24 million per year for media/IP rights for their own team?

It's weird how often several of you are here crying and wishcasting over LSU's financials.
