I look at it as neither Lane or LSU for that matter are the settle down and stay hitched, be happy forever types.
If Lane goes to LSU, it almost seems a given there will be a spectacular break-up down the road in a few years with lots of drama, intrigue and bad blood.
But in the few short years before that inevitable conclusion, it could potentially be great and memorable.
As another poster pointed out in another thread, LSU has done rather well for itself with “characters” as their head coach.
Nothing is guaranteed but there’s enough promise that it will be fascinating to follow.

Well dipshit…those are the releases from the university itself. That’s what LSU itself is putting out in public press releases, the budget crisis at the hospital system is a public fact. It’s also a fact LSU football has raided the hospitals before. Programs and hundreds of people were cut from the OLotL system. And it’s also a fact you’re banding around $170,000,000 for three football coaches. You say I don’t know shite, but all this is easily found public information put out by LSU and OLotL system. The LSU fan base keeps saying it’s “private money, private donors.” When you are taking money that was donated or granted to health care to support LSU athletics, that’s just fricking sick.

As a Bama fan I’m not going to throw shade because every Bama fan I know would’ve gladly taken Lane as our head coach to follow Saban and still would today.

I guess I'm old fashioned, but it troubles me greatly that this Kiffen character seems to just be abandoning his team during a playoff run.
I think a leader should stand with his men.
I'd personally be embarrassed for it to even be suggested that I'd abandon my men for any amount of money.
