Can't speak to LSU but UGA does not have elite talent at a key position...

We don't. Brennan could have been "good enough" in better circumstances, like what Bennett was for yall up to Bama. Johnson and especially Finley have talent, but you're just not going to win many SEC games with true freshen QBs unless the rest of the team is stacked with talent and experience

I wonder what Georgia’s excuse will be next year?

I will. Let me give u a little preview.

- Covid 2.0
- Injuries at key positions
- lost too many key players to draft
- qb underperformed
- Richt’s recruits

Unsure where this perception comes from.

How did you miss the 2017 iron bowl?

Because it was the iron bowl??? But it was more competitive than the 2018 LSU UGA Game....

Hurts was 12 of 22 with 112 yards, one TD and no Interceptions....

Fromm was 16 of 32 for 209 with one TD and 2 Interceptions....and that TD came late in the game when the thing was decided....

Alabama was winning the 2017 Iron bowl midway through the 3rd....UGA was NEVER in the 2018 LSU game and did not score until midway through the third quarter, a FG, down by 16 to cut it to 13. There is not a lot of comparison in the 2 games....

1. AU was beating Bama 26-14 with 12 minutes to go.
LSU was beating UGA 19-9 with 12 minutes to go.

2. The Iron Bowl had a hell of a lot more riding on it than the UGA/LSU game, so a switch to a better passer should have been prioritized given the stakes. Still, Saban refused.

3. Hurts also had a much larger resume of piss poor passing games, so pulling him should have been much easier. Still, Saban refused.

4. Neither Qb played good, but Fromm was very good from that point forward in 2018, while Hurts stunk it up again and again after that.

I know Ga fans are salty when it comes to their ever enlarging capacity to never meet expectations. U have to give it to them - they keep on believing “that next year is our year .”

Yes, you are correct. Both have stunk it up this year.

Next year can always be the year when you are loaded with talent. Just need that luck other teams often get to come through for once.

Have you played at Mizzou lately? Hostile AF and look how they pounded Vandy last week.

They were feeding the ga hype. It is alarming how they always feel this is the year. They have been saying it going on 41 years.

Not mutually exclusive ideas, so both. Loaded rosters still need to be on the field and healthy.

How high were UGA's expectations coming into the season? They will likely finish 8-2, which seems about what many expected them to do.

To be fair, they had a late 3rd quarter-lead @Alabama with a C-USA caliber QB. If they had Newman or Daniel from the start they mightve been really good

Most UGA fans also thought UF would be much better and that game would be tight...Las Vegas agreed the week of the game with UGA a slight favorite

I think we also felt way worse against Florida after losing our two best defensive players the week before that game.

And the feelings got really bad after we went up 14-0.
