I understand it was Auburn fans that came up with this.

I smell more of a funnel cake and arse smell, a lot like a circus when I think of the smell of LSU.

What smells come to mind when you think of LSU?

It was made up by OU fans about Nebraska in the early 90’s. Aubie isn’t smart enough to come up with something that clever on their own.

The corndog "insult" has never been about LSU and was not originated here. This is the correct answer. If you've ever been to an LSU game it's more of a jambalaya and beer smell if anything. The food changes depending on the opponent so I don't know how you can distinctly tell a common smell.

I mean WTF. Corndogs aren't related to LSU in the least, they certainly weren't invented there and pretty much (like everyone else) corn dogs hate LSU. They never even worked on the grounds crew FFS. So, who the frick does LSU fan think they are making a connection with the fine fair food that it is. Play the Corndog song, go ahead, opposing fans and bands will ruin your effort and make fun of you relentlessly.

The corndog thing has been around since before 2003, when I posted Auburn stole it from 2 other school, Oklahoma was one of them.

Oklahoma called Nebraska Corndogs in the very early 1990's.

Auburn moderator on one of their sports boards called LSU corndogs in 2002, if I remember correctly. I post back to him; he stole it from two other schools back then.

I can honestly say that this was never a "thing" in Oklahoma to any degree.

Holers, Fuskers, Bugeaters, Nebbish. Yes. But corndogs? I don't remember that at all.

Corndogs were exclusively associated with Texas because of the Fletcher's corn dogs at the state fair in Texas.
