Good call, piggiliscious. A large percentage of this fan base really showed their arse to the world.
Johnelle is the answer for me. He inherited a VERY talented football team, and completely shite the bed. That team had 16 players that made an active NFL roster on the 2 deep(mostly upperclassmen starters), and others that are seniors this year that should.

Pick-6 game against Auburn. Damn you Jamie Howard and Curley Hallman.

77-0 is definitely #1, especially since I grew up in OKC. The 2011 tu game was real low point too.

Last year takes the cake as other Gamecocks said.
I was old enough to see 0-21 but Holtz had promise during his first year even though we went 0-11. The following year we went 8-4 and beat Ohio State.
Spurrier resigned mid season. We had like 8 walk on's starting on offense. It became crystal clear how Spurrier Jr. fricked up our recruiting for years and our defensive coordinator was an imposter who continued to play our CB's 20 yards off their WR every single play. Frick 2015 football. We're gonna be bad again this year but I think we'll see similar promise to Holtz first year.

2012 A&M. Only time I have ever walked out of Jordan Hare Stadium before a game ended. Never seen that lack of effort before by an AU team. 2008 was tough but that team at least fought most of the season. 2012 it seemed like minute things got hard we quit

CBP lying and the JLS debacle. I want to blot that from the memory banks but it just won't go away.

The Citadel game should be studied by future DCs as how NOT to defend the option. I rewatched the game recently and while the Citadel did a very good job of disguising their plays and not giving too much to key off of it seemed like every other play the Gamecock defense had a horrible mental error.

2011 Florida. It was my birthday. Almost traveled to Gainesville but stayed in Knoxville so my girlfriend could come visit. Justin Hunter tore his ACL, we lost (again), and I got dumped. Rough day, but had a hell of a week after that though.

2000 - UGA vs. GT
"Goose" Godsey's TD run in the rain against a defense full of future NFL'ers. The UGA program had quit on football that day, it was raining, and there was a sign flying over the stadium that read "Dooley + Donnan = DooDoo".

I'm 24, so I've been fortunate to not exactly have a really low point as an LSU football fan. I watched every one of Lee's 15 interceptions in person during 2008, but by the end of the season it was pretty funny. It was also disturbing watching grown men boo an 18-year-old
So I guess the 2008 season jumps out. LSU was pretty fricking terrible
As a fan of all sports the Trent Johnson era really jumps out. I've never seen a coach instill so much apathy among the fan base. Seriously he generated ZERO hype and excitement around the program. I want Jones fired, but he's better than TJ at least

This is going to seem a weird one since it turned out to be an awesome thing but Rich Rodriquez backing out of taking the Bama job. After 6 years of sanctions, awful play, Mike Price, etc it was like "come on". In hindsight of course it was the greatest bit of luck to ever happen to Bama but at the time it was just another brick in the wall of a horrible new century of Bama football.

Probably the Northern Illinois loss. We've had worse losses before and since then, but that one was just infuriating. Michael Turner ran wild

When they announced that we had pretty well run out of QBs and we were starting a WR under center, I was absolutely convinced it was going to be one of my low points.
