So how exactly did he neuter the program if none of the players followed him and only some of the high school recruits did so?
What you guys feel for him is of your own opinion but to say he neutered your program when there was no mass exodus is ridiculous.
You guys neutered your own program by hiring Mike Earley as your head coach. You could have used your big money to hire a competent and elite coach and then overpaid for Mike to come back and help retain those players which it sounds like he would have done with how he talks about how it didn’t feel right or sit well leaving for UT.
Instead, you guys hire a guy with zero HC experience because you let the actual players strong arm your AD into making a stupid hiring decision. But somehow, that’s Schloss’s fault.
Boohoo on that woe is me bullshite

But the timing left us with no choice. By that time all recruiting and coaching changes were all but done
But it’s been covered that your guy’s AD sat down with Schloss before regionals to talk about his future at A&M and there was rumblings with some of the insiders on this.
If there was rumblings and all this was true, why did your AD drag feet in not having a backup or replacement if Schloss moved on?
I like that DBU coach. I’ve heard him speak several times at the ABCA and although he’s not at a big time program, the guy knows his stuff and can coach.
I just don’t understand why yall didn’t get someone proven and then try to money whip Mike Earley to come back as a hitting coach since it sounded like moving to Austin didn’t sit well with him and him and his family really liked A&M.

Comprehension skills seem to be extremely lacking here
I think common sense seems to be lacking from you. The answer is simple: for whatever reason, A&M played down (waaaaay down) to Arkansas whenever they met. Probably because the Aggies felt sorry for the miserable little Hogs and wanted them to feel like they had a chance at beating a B-tier team.

We still have a football program? You sure?
Take your word for it.

Yes, our high school recruits were the first clue that Schloss had made a deal with Texas. They talked openly of Weiner and the assistants recruiting them to Texas while still coaching at A&M. Jake and the core of our team were also approached by Weiner to play at Texas. On the morning of the final game of the WS, Jake approached Schloss on this very subject. It was known by the A&M players before the most important game they would play that Schloss had sold out and was gone.
It became common knowledge that day because Del Conte leaked it to the right places, and there is video of the bus reception at the athletic center after the game. Schloss got off the bus, spoke to Weiner briefly and disappeared into the athletic complex without talking to a single person or shaking a single hand. His car drove away roughly ten minutes later. He was announced in Austin the very next morning. That video is out there. This was within a day after he publicly ripped the reporter who asked him about the Texas rumors after the loss of the CWS.
Del Conte spent the first few months of his job at Texas trying to repair the image of POS, after all of this became common knowledge.
BTW, A&M is the tip of the iceberg for the POS. What he did at TCU and why he had to leave quickly are just as bad and show a character that is morally bankrupt.

I wished we'd implode our football program and sink everything into basketball and baseball.
Pretty safe to say they have. They won't be bowl eligible for the foreseeable future.

No one is disputing that he left immediately. I'm asking you about recruiting his players to go to Texas with him during the CWS. You've said a lot, but offered nothing beyond hearsay. I'm asking for proof...emails, texts, interviews or statements from players on social media. Something beyond you saying "they talked openly".
You say "Jake and the core of our team were also approached by Weiner to play at Texas". Okay, where did he say this?

Do a google search. It is in various articles. The A&M baseball team wasn't exactly close with the information. They told him to pound sand, which is why Schloss left town like a dog with his tail between his legs.
Five second google search, and AI summary
I'm sure you can go deeper with the time. I'm not going to do that, but feel free to ask some TCU fans about his divorce. His ex still lives in Ft Worth and was paid millions to keep quiet about his "extra" activities. Dude is a slime ball to the extreme.
Laughable that he can actually attempt to play innocent.

AI Overview
Following Jim Schlossnagle's move from Texas A&M to the University of Texas in June 2024, multiple reports and subsequent player actions indicated a significant, immediate effort to bring Texas A&M talent to Austin.
Mass Transfer Exodus: Within 40 hours of losing the College World Series (CWS) final and moving to Texas, at least 10 Texas A&M players entered the NCAA transfer portal, including star outfielder Jace LaViolette, SEC Freshman of the Year Gavin Grahovac, and other key starters.
"Bring the Best" Report: Shortly after it was reported that Schlossnagle had accepted the Texas job, sources indicated he was expected to "bring his best players with him" to Austin.
Tampering Allegations: The rapid, organized nature of the departures immediately following the CWS led to widespread, though unproven, speculation about tampering, with many fans and commentators questioning if conversations began before the season ended.
Staff Recruitment: Schlossnagle made it a condition of his employment at Texas to bring his entire Texas A&M coaching staff with him—Michael Earley, Nolan Cain, and Max Weiner—which facilitated the recruitment of A&M players.
Timing of Agreement: Reports emerged that a deal between Texas and Schlossnagle was in place as early as the week after the Texas A&M-Georgia series, before the Regional round, providing a timeframe where recruitment could have occurred.
Schlossnagle addressed the controversy by stating he did not know any other way the transition could have been handled, apologizing to Texas A&M, while acknowledging the "miserable" NCAA rules that prevent a coach from communicating with players once they take a new job. (narcissistic behavior to the extreme)

Is there another website, anywhere in the world, like TexAgs?

You think the owner of the Cowboys would rather win baseball or basketball over football? No way.
Older hog fans have a lot of pride about the football program and its history- the Nixon game and all that crap.
But its clear there isn't enough money to go around and the people at the top are making the moneyball move not the emotional play.

Your AI summary supports what I'm saying.. "widespread, though unproven, speculation". And that's all it is.
