His playcall at UGA in 2001 remains one of the greatest memories with my father. We went to the game in Athens after winning the year before (the 5 int performance vs Quincy Carter). We were down late and looking for a FG to win. Lou runs 2 into the line looking like we were going for the FG. 3rd down to the end zone was so unlike him. I remember picking up my Father and throwing him about 10 ft in the air.

Love him...won't ever forget him having a kicker shank one watching practice when Dad worked at the armory and I'd toss the balls back...then he yelled at the punter for shanking it he made sure I kept the ball...both walked away laughing...found out later it was on purpose and it was a gameball that I later had George Rodgers sign....was 10 or 11 years old

He actually said "I don't motivate players. I find players who motivate themselves."
