LSU fans will scrape together 500k just to put a “Fire Sankey” billboard up in a couple cities just for shits…
Heck we’ll probably even end up giving you the money just so Princewill won’t be put out!

We also raised a lot of money for a small school just because their former kicker made a game winning kick for us.

He broke his contract days after signing it. Ole Miss is owed the money. Being owed money doesn't make someone poor. It makes the person owing the money poor.

Almost every profession has had people back out days after signing before getting paid because of having second thoughts.
Almost always if no money has changed hands courtesy is extended because
A. It happens
B. The negative image it gives towards current and future employees is not worth the trouble.
Ole Miss is in that special place where they are so jilted that they don’t care they just see red and want to metaphorically slash their ex’s tires in any way possible.

If Ole Miss or any school for that matter didn’t pursue contract buyouts they would get walked over from here on out.
The school has to pursue buyout. Not for the money but so it doesn’t happen again.

I’m saying that while legal to go after contracts at that level it’s typically given courtesy for the above reasons.

In this situation you can’t give courtesy because no signed rev share contract with buyout language would ever mean anything again.
You just have to pursue and show the attempt to pursue and settle. It’s not for the money, it’s for the principle.

I doubt they are poor either considering many have pro earnings and don’t have to pay a mortgage due to their ability to live rent free

If it weren’t for Lane being petty as he always has been (acts like a 10 yr old) LSU would have paid the buyouts for the players.

No Ole Miss hate here. I agree with every word.
Ole Miss could’ve timed this a little better though. Maybe in the offseason.
