Stubhub is really the best option. I know that the stadium can track if you used your stubhub tickets to get. If you buy off Stubhub and can’t get in they will refund it. They also hold they payment to the seller until 5-6 days after the game.

Some friends of mine got taken for $4500 outside the super dome for the 2011 NCG for 4 tickets. He was not happy. He said he walked around for an hour outside looking for the guy and was going to get his money back or die trying. No luck.

Until Saturday I've never had trouble scalping tickets even up to five and odd numbers are harder to find and cost more.

Well don’t buy paper tickets when it’s digital only. I would never trust paper tickets.

Not possible. What they had was a screenshot of a digital ticket more than likely, which is their fault for accepting that. You can’t scan screenshots of digital tickets.

Hate that happened to you but glad it all worked out.

There’s hardly any legit paper tickets in circulation anymore. I’d stay clear of them unless you are absolutely certain of their origin

10,000 fake tickets at $250 each??? That's a lot of cash, sounds like a mob racket.

Hook'em, then reel'em in.

It always helps to be nice to staff. I have purchased a couple of bogus tickets years ago and did not make a big deal when the legit ticket holders came. They were sold through stub hub and while I had to find alternate unused seats instead of being asked to leave. I did get a refund after several weeks. They seemed not to understand that when I was sold a ticket for a specific seat, that was exactly what I was owed. They finally got it.

So moral of this story is, you could theoretically print your own fake tickets, claim you got swindled, and the stadium staff will still let you in?
but to be sure, you should rent an old person in a wheel chair and explain how "dad" is so excited to be back in his old stadium for the first time in 50 years....

It's a huge problem across all forms of entertainment venue especially music concerts

I bought a ticket on the street in Atl to a Braves game than ended up being stolen. Usher got me in and gave me great seats (better than I had). My job was hang the Ks after each strikeout thou.

Definitely. This past summer I was looking for two more tickets to the Motley Crue/Def Leppard stadium tour opening night...it was insane how many scammers are out there. First red flag always is if they won't take payment through PayPal since it has buyer protections, unlike Venmo and other methods.
As for football tickets, I miss having the old paper tickets you could keep as a souvenir...it is what it is.

Glad it worked out for you. I no longer buy tickets outside the stadium. Just took risky but this is a good suggestion

The only suggestion they had is that the buyer should videotape the exchange and ask the scalpers name and to see their ID. If they hesitate don't buy.
